CT, I’ve been using the layer program as written, and have started to plateau in my strength gains. Looking into the long term on this program, I’m going to move on to using the strength based layer phase i.e.
ramp to 1RM
3 clusters with 90%
Lower to 70% and ramp to 2RM
2 clusters with 90%
Lower to 70% and ramp to 3RM
1 cluster with 90% of 3RM
Lower to 70%, 1 max reps set
After completing this phase, would you recommend returning to the original workout, and just swap out certain exercises, say low incline bench press for bench press, and back squats for front squats?
