How many more good posters will we lose because of this arse clown?
Not only great posters lost, but great posters never gained. Just think about how many experienced talented lifters check out this site only to see his threads and say “well fuck that!”
Did you ever end up doing the physique show?
HELLZ YEA! Great day, got second!
WTF update your damned thread. I am aiming for the Europa in Orlando next year.
My training log? I did! I don’t have any pics yet. I will in a few weeks I think if I just pester the right people.
Nice, congrats on the silver man.

And TBH, I’m really probably gonna lay low for awhile. This site is like poison now with all its non-sense, as evidenced by this very thread. That’s why I wasn’t so anxious to post up about the show anymore.
Just post 'em in the BB forum. That place has been almost entirely drama free since a certain poster abandoned the forum.

Last time he disapeared for a while he came back shredded. Let him go. He we will back with another 10 lbs.

X: At the time of that picture, what was your daily menu? Asking SERIOUSLY. I love reading permabulker’s diets (again, serious). Actually, what does your diet look like now also?

I’m actually going to take a page from Jake’s book and peace out for a bit. But before I go, I want you all to remember that this is the kid that Professor X said doesnt have the genetics for this. You are right, I am no Mad Titan, I am fucking Waittz.

Don’t have to. I am looking at your progress.

Someone with better genetics would hopefully make more progress in that time frame unless something was off with their food intake.

That isn’t degrading you. You just aren’t the guy with the genes to get that big…which may be why you think adding more weight is pointless for all when it isn’t.
I do not agree. My goal in college and most of my lifting career was PL. I had a 2.9X BW deadlift raw. I never chased size until after college. I have been training for ‘muscularity’ and aesthetics for 8 months after not seriosuly working out for almost 2 years and Mr. No Limits is ready to put a limit on me because I dont want to cheeseburger my way to 220 lbs?

EDIT- also how can you be looking at my progress without a before picture?
It all comes down to asking yourself the following question: do you get anything out of being on these forums? Does anything you read in them make you a better BBer? It’s when I really ask myself that question and I’m honest with myself that I realize I need to peace out.

Think about it man. You had to start a thread talking about how awesome it is that SOME people are finally talking about staying lean in a god damned BODYBUILDING forum!!! That’s like going to the emergency room and being like, “Hey docs, it’s really cool you all are actually trying to heal people now.”

Gotta agree here. This place is pretty cashed at this point. If I browsed different sites too I’d probably be a little more tolerant of the crap that goes on here, but this is really the only website I frequent so it really just becomes a grind sifting through the bull. I like to talk science at a level more substantial than “cheeseburgers!” and “you can’t prove that!”, and this website used to be an outlet for that but hasn’t been for some time.

I still know who to go to if I need the wrong advices, where to buy the occasional super product and I’ll definitely keep Alpha’s log bookmarked for motivation, but for some reason reading this really solidified the suspicion I had that this place is a pretty big joke.

You look good man. Just continue what you’re doing and tune out negative stuff or stuff that doesn’t help you.

It’s sad, because this site has sooooo much potential to be a very productive place. Right now there’s good stuff for rank beginners, foundation and basics and blah blah blah…and everything else is a fucking debate. 95% of what makes Bodybuilding bodybuilding is not even discussed in here. Intermediate lifters get left out in the cold.

Mr. Walkway said it best when he called this site anti-bodybuilding.

?? You do not seem to have the genetics to get really big. That was the point. No one said you don’t look like you lift or that you have no muscle.

You do not seem to be one of those guys people look at and say, “damn”. There is a difference.

If you had built bigger arms and a bigger chest, it would stand out more.

You are the one claiming you want to be 170lbs. If that is your goal, do your thing.

You just don’t seem to be one of those guys who can weigh that much and look like Mad Titan.

That’s just the truth.

You serious?
Yes. Just look like a big human.
LOL man I couldn’t disagree with that more. Look at the traps and shoulders… there is to much meat there not to be a lifter…
Dude, that made me wonder too.

What “just big guys” are walking around with a yolk? I am thinking some here disregard any muscle built unless super lean.

Yeah, tell me about it. I actually get shit for showing what offseason bodybuilders look like, who for some reason here some have considered
“near contest ready”. Meanwhile some would need a three to four month diet for stage readiness. I guess three to four months out is stage ready in some eyes.

If this is a bodybuilding forum, why is the actual BUILDING THE MUSCLE PART being downplayed in favor of staying lean all of the time?

Real question.

No one, and I mean no one is talking down to guys who want to stay leaner. That is their choice.

The ONLY thing that was debated was the belief that those who do will gain the same muscle at the same speed as those who just work on size for a while.

Quit distorting the actual discussion and debate.

You showed pics of bodybuilders in POSING TRUNKS FOR GUEST POSINGS. Yes, they were near contest shape.

Are you really acting like they weren’t?

You used that as a point to say no one could gain 80lbs of lean body mass naturally…which has no relation.

? Most of those guys were about 3 months out from contest condition…which for many pros is damn near contest ready.

Paul Dillet, quite smooth. Full offseason mode.

^hes wearing trunks. He must be near contest condition.

Right.

I’ve been reading the muscle rags and following the sport of bodybuilding since the early 90’s, and there’s no way the ‘offseason’ IFBB pros guest posing back then were even near contest lean. Sure they relied on a hell of a lot of PEDs to diet down quicker than a natty competitor would, but to look at pics, even from the golden 90’s and say that these guys were 12 weeks out from contest ready is just silly.
