All you do is measure lean body mass and see how mnuc you gained. Doing anything more with the numbers is fixing data.

LBM that the top and most massive natural pros have - the LBM of the person where Brick’s training induced gains begin that wouldn’t be the result of just geting older and gaining bodyweight naturally(if I got that part right). That’s where the 40-50 lb benchmark comes from, training induced LBM gains is a similar definition.

I agree with you to a point because where someone starts can big difference in the total LBM gained. I think its more critical to discuss where someone ended up LBM wise since where people start is quite variable.

So I think Brick’s question for you when you claim near 80 lb LBM gains is where do you think you stack up against the top Natural Pros and IFBB Pros in terms of LBM per height and how much would you keep if you get to your desired level of leanness.

Yeah, and that makes no sense. He doesn’t even know when any of those guys started training so why come up with a number like that when no one can even calculate how close they are?

I was 18 when I started and had stopped growing in height. There is no logical reason to subtract from the lean body mass gained.

That’s the point. It doesn’t matter how I stack up. All we are discussing is lean body mass gains.

You could say that the % of LBM you have gained compared to the maximum lean body mass equation could be the most accurate determinate of gains. Now guys who are bulking should multiply that number by 1.04 to adjust for that. Also there will be some variance one way or the other based on differences in body type but its a pretty good estimate.

MAX LBM=H^1.5[(√W/22.6670)+(√A/17.0104)]*[(%bf/224)+1)]

where,
H = Height in inches
A = Ankle circumference at the smallest point
W = Wrist circumference measured on the hand side of the styloid process.
(The styloid process is the bony lump on the outside of your wrist.)
%bf = The body fat percentage at which you want to predict your maximum lean body mass

Your body is 70+% water. That is why you would simply try to be at similar stats as the first reading.
