…
It really is pathetic how some of you guys invest so much time in ridiculing others over nothing. Who the fuck cares if he asked for some Waterbury programs in this forum vs another forum?
Well this is why the authors locker room used to be so damn great, Chad posted, Charles Staley and poliquin posted and you could just ask any question you wanted. But now they seem dead or only CT seems to post. ![]()

But you know that’s not what’s going to happen. I don’t work fullbody thinking I’m going to wake up one day and be so big I’ll make Ronnie Coleman look like Gary Coleman or think everyone that does split routines is on steroids.
I do them because: 1) I hate trying to get to the gym 5 and 6 days a week and 2) I can’t get motivated trying to get to the gym thinking I’m only going to work my chest or back or whatever.
So I would rather leave the bodybuilding forum to bodybuilding training and have a separate forum for guys that are just more into getting in better shape, getting bigger, getting stronger, etc. I think most of the bodybuilders would agree it would alleviate having to argue with someone over why bodybuilding training from the 50s is supreme to today. Dude, you are now awesome in my book.
Great post.

Wow, thanks. I know you’re one of the people who has dealt with this kind of stuff in the past. I also know I’m one of the guys that started some ridiculous arguments here. The initial reason was because I didn’t know where else to post stuff about the fitness oriented guys or whatever. I don’t know if you have anymore say on this site than I do, but if so maybe you could help.

Nah, I have no pull. I just think it was cool for you to express your understanding that the goals between the two parties are different. And you weren’t a self righteous prick about it.

Well, that’s a shame. Maybe we should have some special T-Nation election to decide who makes decisions. Or maybe a Battle Royale.

Good post indeed, however I should have been more clear in my original post. I have no problem with people doing Waterbury for bodybuilding, becoming bigger/stronger, etc, but these threads always become infested by posters (troll or not) who think Waterbury is supreme for every goal imaginable, and they make sure everyone hears it.

I understood what you meant, and I agree. CT is probably the best author here, and he’s employed all sorts of methods. Obviously anything can be construed as “bodybuilding” if it builds muscle. I think though for people, myself included, that have no desire to practice real “bodybuilding,” we may be better served discussing programs somewhere else. It’s basically a win-win situation for everyone.
Crossing over from being a recreational bodybuilder to a “fitness person” who now exercises to look decent naked, health benefits, recreation, and FUN, I seriously think there needs to be a forum titled GENERAL FITNESS. That would put this whole “That ain’t a bodybuilding program. So what the fuck are you in here for?” problem to rest quickly.
MODS and MEMBERS: What do you think? We need a place where people can talk freely about bodybuilding without general fitness people causing them trouble and vice versa.
Full body routines have their places:
Strength and conditioning programs. Usually used for in-season muscle maintenance and in some offseason programs.
General fitness. People who don’t want to get huge, but lift for health and vanity reasons.
People with limited time to train.
Olympic lifting.
Some powerlifting programs.
I think these reasons have been stated ad nauseum, but people should realize there’s nothing “wrong” with them. Split, upper-lower, and full-body routines all have their places.

Agreed totally. I lift for purely narcissistic reasons and would like to see a general training forum, I believe it would alleviate a lot of trolling and exasperation for the committed bodybuilding members. Perhaps yourself or another senior member could start a new thread with your post as it runs the risk of being overlooked at the end of this joke thread.

I think it is a great idea ![]()
I feel I dont fit in BBforum, PLforum, WLforum, conditioning and I feel I`m no longer a beginner. So a forum like this would fit persons like me good.

Well, you know my feeeling on it. I don’t mean to be on a general fitness forum crusade, but I’m just trying to solve the problem.

I’m on a general fitness crusade… FOR MYSELF.
