I am not aware if I have ever been censored. If so, I didn’t care enough about the post to see if it ever made it, and/or I wasn’t notified by anyone. I have posted protein shakes that utilized another brand of protein and that was never censored. There was one post that didn’t make it, but I am certain it wasn’t because it was censored. It didn’t contain anything in it to warrant censoring, and it made it on the second attempt. We should remember that technology isn’t always perfect. If you were not contacted about a post being censored even though it never showed up, maybe it just got lost.
There are plenty of things posted and language used that I do not like. I am an adult and can choose to visit this site or stay away. I have been a member here for a while, I enjoy the products I have used, the information (and don’t forget it is free information) is awesome and reliable, and I have had the opportunity to “meet” some very cool people.
I am fine with this site just the way it is. If anyone has issue with it they always have the choice of not visiting it.

Damnit, I should just keep my keyboard shut sometimes.

I think political correctness is a big pile of male bovine excrement.
Note: This post was written with 99% uncensored electrons.
Censorship of any kind smacks of Fascism and power control. Let the people speak freely and unrestricted. This is the last frontier available for us to do this. Don’t ruin it by whining about your hurt feelings. Everyone has the same rights to express their opinion, right, wrong or totally fucked up. Just threw that in there to check for censorship controls.
I’ve never been censored flat out, as in had something I’ve posted just disapear for no reason.
I have had a thread be rejected because they said someone else had started a similar topic alredy…okay I see that…
I have had some posts not show up and be referred back to a T-Nation editor or contributor because the post dealt with a specific question and the mods were sharp enough to gt me the info I needed…so props to them for that.
I’ve been on many differnt kinds of boards on the net. Mods are a necesary evil, because the 2% of idiots out there would ruin a board for the 98% of us who actually have something legit to say or want to read something legit. Also a board is not a total free seech zone. If someone ele is paying for the bandwidth, its their right to decide how its used.

I have, but was told why, as in, it was way too harsh and personal. They don’t want you mocking family or loved ones, even though the greatest insults involve those people. Oh well, fuck it .

I hope that was sarcasm.
Speak your mind.Leave the censorship behind.

I have personally been censored several times for my content, not my language. In other words, the moderator did not agree with my position and took sides in the debate and did not allow my opinion to be posted. In fact, in one particular issue, I actually had research to back up my point and that was not allowed either.
So beware, the thought police are not as absent as you think on this site and it is already so PC that it sickens me at times. The number of people out there that cannot or refuse to think for themselves is astonishing!

If you have evidence of this happening, please let me know.
Or, if it happens again, forward the dialogue to me.

i dont like T-Nation as it is. My posts go missing all the time, especially the ones where i critise TC’s articles.
I have nothing against the fella, just his articles. Well the last two to be precise.[/quote]
That’s odd because the mods have instructions to let it fly where my articles are concerned.
A few weeks ago, a guy I know from the gym finally logged onto Testosterone.
His first words to me were, “Man, your site is full of hate.”
I gotta’ admit, that bothered me.
I’m sure he looged onto the political forum, but nevertheless, I hated to hear his reaction.
While I hate censorship, we have to have some guidelines. For instance, I prefer to keep racial slurs off the site, as well as terms like “fag”.
Furthermore, mods are asked to intervene when discussions get extremely personal and the IQ of the thread, if not the entire site, starts being dragged down.
Nudity isn’t permitted either. Believe me, that pains me, but it’s for several reasons. One, it doesn’t fit in with the moral code of many members of the staff, two, we don’t want to turn this into a porn site because so many other sites do it better; and three, out of courtesy to the guy who’s reading the site at work.
Lastly, we’re somewhat careful about first-time posters who come out and say something complietely off-the-wall about one of our supplements.
If there were no monitoring of these posts, it would be oh-so easy to affect Biotest’s sales. All it takes is one unsubstantiated rumor planted in the minds of some newbies.
Oh, and lastly, we’d prefer if people didn’t advertise their own supplements or supplement sites on our site because, well, why should someone else profit off our labor?
There you have pretty much our entire philosophy regarding censorship.
I will also back up the censorship thing.
Supps:
The only time I’ve been sensored was to report what I thought was a negative side, but was immediately put in touch with Cy for clarification etc. Turned out to never happen to me again. Hows that for Nazi.
Otherwise I’ve been stopped once an arguement has gone too far.
But I was always told so and why.
It makes sense.
Like Vroom I too was censored a couple of times but looking back I believe it was warranted.
I was pretty pissed off at the company and had to take a breath and relax.
As far as Supps go,
Guys like the animal4life dude was nothing less than a competing website’s advertisement in both avatar and moniker.
On the whole I think the Mods do a good job of keeping out the rifraff as well as allowing us to post anything we care to talk about. I dig the site as it is, and debates such as this only solidify that feeling.
GAINER
I’ve posted a lot about this in the past; but quite frankly, I’m tired of ending up raked over the coals on some site by a group of people that have issues with “The Nation”. It gets old.
So I’ll keep it short.
Many of you obviously have no idea whatsoever:
How quickly a site can morph into this strange mix of pseudo-sexual/pseudo-political/fetish and hate riddled/wasteland of adolescent fantasies, pedophilia, political propaganda and whatever deep seated, unresolved issue that someone can’t express in their real life. This isn’t fantasy…it’s the reality of the Internet.
The extent to which individuals, companies and/or Corporations will go to destroy not just competitors…but people they just don’t like.

There does seem to be a lot of hatred going around right now. I hope it’s just a phase. I blame the continental europeans.

What can I say, unresolved childhood issues…
Like vroom and a few others I was “censored” when I joined the site.
Meaning, they deleted a post that was entirely in german, after I posted something like " I just realised that I can post anything I want as long as its in german".
Understandable.
It was a song about a fish, but how could they know… ![]()
A few hundred posts later I can post in german without being censored. Maybe the mods give you a little bit more room after you have proven that you are not completely insane.
PS: Not that I?m not completely insane. Just not in the internet- tourette- syndrom kind of way.

Good post, and no, I am not just saying that because you just had a thread dedicated to your personal style of writing. I had a couple of my posts censored when I first started posting regularly on this forum again a couple of years ago. Anything they may choose to censor now probably needs to be censored. They are also extremely good at pm’ing you why a certain post isn’t making it through
If you are the type of poster who feels the need to even censor what others type at this point, perhaps this site is not for you. People whining about posts being insensitive need strangulation. They need very intensive, extremely sensitive strangulation, but strangulation none the less.
If you log onto a Biotest web site and complain that they want their own products discussed positively, your head needs new vents in it. Bullets do just fine. I don’t use all Biotest supplements and I have made that clear before. I have mentioned what other products I do use and have not had that censored. Maybe the whining around here just needs to be shut down on a regular basis. There need to be monthly Huggies Diaper Awards for those with testosterone hatred issues.
