Star Trek Next Generation? yea it’s cool. First Contact woulda been cooler if they’d just hologram/created some swords and chainsaws and slashed the borg up instead of relying on their adapatable phasers.

Like what? I don’t think this site promotes any dogmatic dietary or training methods…
I prefer T-Nation’s pre-moderating style to other boards on the 'net. If I could, I’d premoderate my entire life, and when someone was about to say something stupid, I’d moderate that shit out so it never actually entered the conversation.
That would be awesome…

It would also be quiet…
i dont like T-Nation as it is. My posts go missing all the time, especially the ones where i critise TC’s articles.
I have nothing against the fella, just his articles. Well the last two to be precise.

In a vain attempt to come up with a more politically correct term for ‘fag’, I believe that some people are sending a message to the administrators of this site, that we, the members, WANT a more PC site. I think that’s wrong. I like this place JUST the way it is. If this forum was anymore censored than it is now, then probably ALL these words from just one thread would be outlawed.
Why do you believe some people are doing this? Has your belief been fueled by someone’s response in another thread that I missed?
I fail to see the point of starting such a thread, largely because anyone who is offended by these terms can simply choose not to view the threads (not to mention the fact that those who are offended by words thrown around on the Internet such as faggot, fuck, cumdumpster, etc. are usually a bunch of faggot-fucking cumdumpsters themselves), or not visit the forums which these terms may be more likely to reside in.
Lastly, it is entirely possible that this thread was created more or less in jest, and therefore it would not be incorrect or otherwise foolish of you all to flame the hell out of me with any or all of the “offensive” names thus far named in this thread.

Yahoo doesn’t moderate at all. Which is unfortunate for someone like me that likes their finance boards free of idiots, but this is obviously good for someone with your “interests”. Some starting points: Beastiality, Neonazis, Pica Club. There’s also a “How to…” board for guys interested in becoming a eunuch. That there just reaks of self esteem.
It starts with censorship, then squat rack curls, then pink dumbbells. Politically correctness is just one more step towards the pussification of America.
theres a reason its called “dangerously hardcore”. If you dont like it, get the fuck out.
In fact, where it no for the ability to flame and talk shit about anything in particular, I believe this would be going as far as inviting misinformation. On other boards, people post whatever they want. On these boards, if you post bs, members will quickly cut you down.
This in itself, is self-moderation.
IMO it’s great. keep it the way it is.

The only real rule I’ve run across is as follows: “Don’t insult people’s loved ones, ever.” Which sounds like an easy rule to follow, aside from having to throw out all of my funny momma jokes. I think the whole PC fad is retarded,
I agree with this. I dont think its that hard to not whip out the “I’ll take your mother to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!” line in seriousness. In fun, where possible, it’s funny. As long as your joking, and its known, then I think its ok. Thats part of T-Nation.

I agree with this too.
Maybe you guys should change the site name to : www.testosteronefuckinnation.com

Is it called “Crossfit”???

I second that.
if you get your feeling hurt then maybe this isnt the sight for you. i took a lot of shit form people about my old avatar but you know some of it was funny even if it wasnt all that funny i never got butt hurt over it. censoship among adults in any form is wrong.
I consider T-Nation a pretty homophobic place.
Also, as an adult, I cannot take most people serious who make extensive use of foul language. And it’s not as there weren’t many of them out there.
But I’m strongly against censorship.
Fuck political correctness.
Thank you.

Which is unfortunate (that he has to) and sums things up nicely.
I’ve had a few censored, for linking to other bodybuilding sites, or for giving sarcastic/inappropriate advice to beginners, and other things I can’t remember. Usually the mods gave good reasons for their actions. I’m happy with the free exchange of ideas here.

My articles always generate a bit of a shitstorm of hate-posts…they never seem to go missing!
I’ve stepped over the line on personal attacks a couple times. In my early days I was also trying to link to competitors sites.
The first time I ran into these issues I was a bit shocked.
However, this isn’t my own private playground and these folks are running a business.
Other than a few areas, which are pretty easy to avoid, I’m amazed at how much trouble we can all cause…

It also makes sense why they would not let posts fly that talk bad about Biotest products (although I would like to see the good and bad comments).

The only post I ever had censored in which I disagreed with the decision was one where I reported a negative side-effect of a Biotest product. Turns out my system just had to get used to it, but that concerned me.

‘But what about the children who view this site?’ some may ask. What about the parents who don’t supervise their child’s internet usage is my reply. Plus, if a kid wants to see sex, drugs or politically incorrectness, plenty of better places to view for just that.
Agreed. I’m tired of the “Save the children” crap. Several porn sites now remove keywords from their metafilter data that allow them to be googled (I love how that’s become a verb) even with safe search on. Unplug the internet if you don’t want your kids exposed.
The only other posts I’ve had deleted were ones in which I’d post a link to a news article for discussion that had already been posted. I fully agree with those decisions – no need to waste space.
I do like the current approach with trolls: let us police them until their driven off. If they don’t leave and get nasty enough, the mods eventually give them the boot anyway.
