There are quite a few NFL players that work out in my gym I work and train at down in Tallahassee, Florida. Here’s the list:

I was outside at a club in Toronto called Guvernment about 3 years ago. All of a sudden, I look to my left, at the VIP line and there’s this guy standing there who’s aboout a foot taller than everyone else. Turns out to be Tracy McGrady. When we got into the club, the DJ gave a shout out to T-Mac and Vince Carter since they were in the club. Since I only saw Tracy, I went to see if I could find Vince. So me and a couple of friends start walkin around the club, and we see these two guys whose heads are sticking out above the crowd, with ladies all around them. I got to within 4 feet of them, but there were just too many girls, and I didn’t wanna bother them. That’s the closest I came to meeting a celebrity.
Sorry, that wasn’t me that posted that or however many it says I just posted. One of my friends decided to be funny. Real damn funny.
Anyways, most of the stuff he said was true. I’ve never been shot at or seen someone get shot though. I’m not even white either. Yes, I have earned my way through college. I have the bills to prove it. When I didn’t have enough scholarships, I had to take out a loan. And yes, my high school was ghetto, so far as to say I’ve seen every drug possible, a ton of guns, seen teachers get beat up, had weekly police dog searches through the entire school and so on.
So don’t tell me that this “white” boy sits here and doesn’t bust his ass to get thru college, and hasn’t seen his fair share of the ghetto. You have no clue where I’ve been or what I’ve seen, so you have no right to judge me like that.
I visited FSU as a senior in high school looking to go there. It was the week before classes started, and my god, all the girls were out in full tilt. It was rush week. As a 17 year old, I was in heaven. I did see some athletes there too, can’t remember which ones.
I’m so jealous of all you people, I don’t get anybody famous to work out with. Wally Szczerbiak graduated the year before I got here, boo hoo.
I believe Cory Fuller is a DB for the Browns, and a pretty good one.
I can’t believe this has turned into a “who came from a bigger shithole” thread. I hear Flint is no picnic, but if The Natti is anything like my hometown - Youngstown - it’s no joke.

Yes, Flint is where Roger and Me was filmed. It was the murder capitol a few times, but it is getting to be a better town now (now that I moved! >:( ). The Detoit area is getting to be too expensive, so many people are moving to the southern suburbs of Flint which is giving Flint an economic shot in the arm. The Universities in Flint are also growing.
Kid Rock is from Romeo, which is a suburb of Detroit. He went to school in St Claire Shores. His family has a little dough (I think they have a horse ranch or something like that), but he DJed and intentionally hung out in “bad” areas, so he earned some legitimate “street cedibility.” MC Breed is from Flint.
The year I interned in Cinci (live here now), they had the riots right before I got here and everyone was asking me, “Why on Earth are you going there?!!?!?” Cinci has its rough spots, but is generally a nice town (kinda sleepy mid-western).
When I went to Myrtle Beach right after the riots, people were asking me if I had to dodge bullets to go downtown. It was ridiculous. It’s in such an isolated area, it’s not even funny. Hyde Park is a really nice area.
I know that Wally went to MU, as I go there now. I meant that I saw a lot of athletes when visited FSU for undergrad, not that I saw Wally there. It was my mistake, all in the wording.
I worked out next to Svend Karlsen last year, when he came to where I train for a seminar. Dave Tate has also done “Force Training” there (great seminar). At the gym I used to work at celebs were there all the time, Jordan, Brittany Spears, etc.
