Celebrations in Gaza

Let us have some quotes shall we…

"…thousands of Palestinians took to the streets of Gaza to celebrate. "

“We bless the (Jerusalem) operation. It will not be the last,” Hamas said in a text message sent to reporters.

Nice…

“This is God’s vengeance,”

Not to be out done, more islamic fundamentalism doing the will of God:

Mind you not one “occupier” was so much as scratched.

Religion of peace my ass!

I could understand it a bit more if these dick wads were engaging military targets or at least government targets or symbols of the government, but nooooo. They attack regular civilians. Real brave.

Those dudes done fucked Israel’s shit up.

I’m guessing we’re going to see a massive military action. Even by that conflict’s standards.

With Islam, it’s all about the afterlife - which doesn’t leave much room for those of us who want to enjoy this world.

At some point in the very near future, the US is going to have to take the leash off Israel and allow them to do what needs to be done.

Hamas is like a fucking kid kicking the fence that confines a pitbull.

I hope Israel shows no mercy.

They took the leash off in the summer of 2006, when they went into Lebanon. They got their ass handed to 'um. A rematch is probably going to be happening in the near future, sure as all hell.

Unlikely.

Israel knows that it is untouchable, and it also knows that attacks on their soil will continue as long as the Palestinian issue is not settled. They use their military to deter. But unlike the Americans, they are not stupid to think that punishing the population will make them rebel against the leadership. Israelis are cunning, and they know that killing even more Palestinian kids will only exacerbate the hatred (if such a thing is possible).

Or maybe I’m just day-dreaming (although it is 5am where I am). Either way, we’ll know soon enough.

I see somebody is mistaken about who’s controlling whom.

I don’t see the big issue, all the Palestinians want is for the Israelis to pack up and move a little west…into the Mediterranean Sea.

Lixy, get your head out of the clouds. These attacks would continue until Israel ceased to exist. Hamas doesn’t try very hard to hide their real intentions, so why act as their tool? You can be sympathetic to the peaceful Palestinian, and still recognize that Israel is stuck fighting an enemy that wants to see it wiped out.

When was the last time Israel DIDN’T retaliate against a terror attack?

Lixy,

When we read Surah 9:29 in the Qur’an:

and the account of Mohammed’s attack on the Jews of the Khaibar oasis and Surah 1 which is understood to mean “Jews” when it describes those consigned to Hell, are we expected to believe it has no bearing on this issue?

We might have let them out of the yard, but Israel was still muzzled. I am talking about “1967,muzzle off, leash off, take your shit back and them some” Israel.

Israel can’t afford to be anything other than the vicious motherfuckers they are trained to be. The world already hates them - use extreme prejudice, and end the problem once and for all.

It could actually force the US to get off the estrogen therapy, and grow back some balls,

Lixy is a lying sack of shit and a terrorist sympathizer. I don’t know why any of you guys treat him as if he is sincere.

I repeatedly stated that the conflict has no solution. You can’t magically erase 60+ years of violence when people on both sides are losing parents, children and other loved ones on a regular basis. In the technical jargon, it’s known as a deadlock, which is just another word to say “stuck”.

Now, Hamas represents the Palestinian people. The day the Palestinians won’t feel so oppressed and violated, is the day the organization crumbles. But as we all know, violence breeds violence, so the vicious circle goes on…

I’m curious though. What in my post made you say that I “act as their tool”? I read it three times and can’t, for the life of me, figure out what you’re talking about.

It really is a fight to the death. Israel should simply level Palestine…end it right now before more innocents die. You can’t deal with mad dogs.

Uh, I doubt it. During what ever little cease fire the palestinians managed they just went to killing each other. It appears that they are so concerned with the afterlife that this current one has no value to them what-so-ever. Perhaps, they should pay a little more attention to this life…

Besides there is no solution because they don’t want there to be one. The desperation serves hamas well, why would they want it to stop?

[quote]pat wrote:

What “current one”? The one where they are oppressed and humiliated? The one where they’re crammed in open-air prisons? Where everyone has been terrorized by IDF raids as a child? Where every last one of them has lost a loved one because of the occupation? Where they have no food, water or prospects for the future?

You can be the most secular on the planet and, if the conditions are right, you will still consider sacrificing your pitiful existence for the sake of your community. It ain’t got much to do with afterlife in this case, as much as it is about the lack of a decent life down here.
