CBL Results/Progress

hey I had a question on morning training. when I drink my PWO shake does that count towards my recommended calories and macros for the low carb part of the day. OR is that shake “free” calories and macros. Thanks

I never actually gave this any direct thought; but I did not include it in my ulc macros. At the same time I didn’t consider them ‘free’; but rather pretended it made up part of the back load numbers.

I also halved the carbs pwo in the morning as I seem to remember reading that the insulin response is much greater at that time of day; but I wouldn’t quote me on that…

Is it okay to have a more hypertrophy based program. I’m currently following Ots bbb and it is a lot of high rep squats with short rest periods and what not. Do I need to follow something like 531 for this cbl to be effective. Thanks again

Google ‘Shockwave protocol’ and you can get the 1.0 version that was made to go with CBL. If nothing else you will get a grasp of what he had in mind.

Yeh take a look at what keifer suggests and see how it matches up. I haven’t actually looked at the shockwave protocol. Honestly as long as you training hard with some heavy weights you’ll be fine.

I rememeber somewhere in the book it says glut4 translocation I caused through maximal contraction of the muscles. So, as long as you don’t spend your time in the gym solely doing bicep marathons and wrist curl challenges you’ll be fine.

At least that’s my thoughts on it.

I did that program with CBL and got pretty good results IMO.

Ya well these past few sessions my strength has been pretty good so I think I’ll stick to it plus I really like the program
