Yes, I have. They can come in handy in short-term “cleanse” diets, but for a staple of a diet, phytates are not good.
They prevent enzyme activity of the intestines, which inhibits digestion.
That and it also inhibits the absorption of very important minerals ESPECIALLY for atheletes - magnesium and zinc (there are others, too).
Nuts are cool in moderation, beans and oats less-so.

Those are pretty much my thoughts as well. So it appears as though grains in moderation are a GOOD addition to one’s diet. Relying on them, is of course, quite bad (also due to insuligenic effects).
