Niche??
So today did leg press, dip machine, hangs, chest press, leg curl, stand calf, seated row, and plate loading arm curl.
Leg press. Hangs. Standing calf. Chest press. Row machine. Leg curl. Shoulder press.
More machines. Leg press. Hangs (held on a bit longer) Shoulder press. Row machine. LEg curl. Dip machine. Plate loading preacher curl (added 5 lbs).
So was sick for a while. Got back in the gym. Felt good from the layoff, didn’t do max weights but close.
LEg press, chest press, standing calf, seated row, leg curl, shoulder press.
Leg press, chest press, stand calf, pulldown, leg curl, shoulder press, arm curl machine. Strange, getting stronger on the shoulder machine.
Lost strength on the shoulder machine, maybe I took off too much. Holiday schedule, stuff to do, couldn’t make it to gym. Also did leg extend, hangs, dip machine, standing calf, seated row, leg curl.
So decided it was time to do some free weights. The dizzy spells are under control, doc put me on depression meds, and made me promise to do something like walking every day.
chest press, seated row
Squat: 95 x 7, 95 x 6, 115 x 5 form was good, felt not too hard
leg curl
Decided to do deadlifts again. Wasn’t totally sure about it, so did rack pulls with the bars near floor.
115 x 8 135 x 8 155 x 8 155 x8
not real heavy, today got some doms in upper back
Dip machine pulldown, leg curl, shoulder press
Did some squats 115 x 6 115 x 6 135 x 5 135 x 5
these were a bit hard, probably lost what little strength I had, weight still down a little
chest press, seated row, tri pressdown, arm curl
Well, it’s been awhile I just haven’t been to the gym. Really lost a lot of motivation. Doctor insisted I do some walking each day, done that. Played around with the bands now and then. Had some time, went to the gym.
Squats 95 x 6 started easy with this, easy, but then got a twinge in my thigh. Good gried, I got injury on my first set of squats at 95 pounds???
So just hit the machines. Some press, some pulls, leg curl and extend.
It’s nice to see you back.
Welcome back!
Good to see you back. Hope the thigh is feeling better.
Thigh is better. Did squats 95 x 6, 115 x 6, 135 x 4, 135 x 4. The last were pretty tough.
Some dips, well, half dips, so hard. Rowing maching, OH press machine, tried leg curl but ankles really hurt. Got off, ankles feel fine. Weird.
Hi everyone. Thanks for the wishes, But are you sure you want me back? I’m the one who reminds us weightlifing is useless. It’s a fraud. I lift and lift and lift for 20, 30 , 40 more years - and nothing. The body does not respond. Where’s my muscles?
Today did squats. lifting the plates to the bar is so hard, they’re heavy but I work hard anyway. 115 x 6 135 x 4 135 x 5 so hard, grunting on the last ones.
Pulldown, chest press, leg curl, seat row, OH press.
Just keep hitting those lifts good sir! The health and longevity benefits are definitely there.
Nope. Again, welcome back. You keep working it and that’s the point. It’s about overall health.
