I just wanted to ask for Post workout im sticking to Protein and Fats, just wanted to ask, are cashew nuts a viable option? They have carbs in it but have a bit more fat compared, are these alright?
I believe Cashews have the most carbs of any nuts. I do eat a ton of 'em myself (usually tossed in with cottage cheese, or just plain to up my cals). Last time I checked, I think a 1/4 cup’s worth had about 10g of carbs (a 1/4 cup is a seriously small amount if you’re not aware -lol). Still, I don’t think any of the carbs are in the form of simple sugars, so if you’re trying to avoid any rises in insulin, you should be relatively okay.

fats aren’t traditionally recommended before and afte workouts (slower digestion).

Stu’s right, cashews have a relatively large amount of carbs. They’re stil predominantly fat like all nuts.
Gave that link a look, pretty interesting thanks… Il just give them a moderate intake then, the adding to the cottage cheese sounds pretty good Stu, might give it a whirl later!
I think cashew nuts are a good snack, but I would not advise them around workout time.
