Carveboarding

I was wondering if perhaps Coach Davies or someone can give me a little info on carveboarding.

I took up snowboarding last year and want something to do in my off time to practice my skills. I was looking through some of the old forum posts and as well as on the net.

It seems there are several types of boards out there for carving. The boards are more or less the same, but the trucks/wheels are different. One type seems to have a similar setup as a standard skate board, except obviously the board is longer. This other model i saw had larger wheels with inflatable tires, but said it was meant for road riding, not off road. There was also this other thing called the Freeboard, which said it more closely mimicked snowboard by having six wheels, two single ones towards the center of each truck, allowing you to drift horizontally on your uphill edge, as in snowboarding.

I would like to get something sometime soon, but want to know what i am buying. If anyone can help me out that would be cool.

thanks
