Cardio on Cycle

Hi guys,

Just want to say thanks to the guys who have answered my questions so far, genuinely appreciate the time and info.

I am entering into my second cycle and need some advice. My first cycle (500mg test pw, 12 weeks) was nothing short of amazing and I was able to push my limits in all my lifts and got the absolute most out of my cycle.

I am 213 pounds, 13% bodyfat, 27yo

Next cycle (this is a short version, I have been very meticulous in my preparation):
1 - 14 week 400mg test e
1 - 12 week 300mg deca
1 - 4 week 40mg tbol
(Diet and supplementation is on point)(3500 cals weight training day)(4500 cals cardio and weight training day)

Firstly, I am a sport nut. I regularly take part swimming, jiu jitsu, boxing (training), running and snowboarding - essentially, I just want to do everything! However, my main passion is untested powerlifting. I am aware that this cycle will have a knock on my cardio activities. I’m also aware that this sort of cardio is not beneficial to my powerlifting, but hey, I love it!

My question is as follows; does doing these sort of high intensity cardio sessions (that can be over 2 hours) have an unhealthy impact on my heart and blood. I’m aware that we should all be doing at least a small amount cardio but is there a limit on how far you should be pushing yourself? I believe in healthy lifestyle and to be meticulous when taking anabolics.

Thank you all, I’ve always found this forum to be so helpful!

You shouldn’t see much change in your cardio with this cycle, absent the slowdown you might get from being more bloated. Pro athletes would not use test and deca if it didn’t give them a serious performance boost.

The first four weeks of tbol, assuming you don’t get any bp issues, should be amazing. That’s like the performance drug of Olympians for an entire generation. If anything your cardio will improve.

And the answer to your question is “who knows?”. Your heart may be fine. The next guy who does the exact same thing could have troubles. You don’t get to know going in. You only find out after it’s too late. But if your body is used to intense cardio then it’ll be used to intense cardio plus the gear. Maybe that’ll do some serious damage. Or maybe it won’t. Sorry there isn’t a more clear answer.

Perhaps the key is to not overdo it cardio wise, I tend to push myself to complete exhaustion. I feel this is an important subject and I really appreciate the response iron_yuppie.

I am 5 weeks in on a similar cycle. I use sprint intervals for my cardio. Usually 30 seconds max effort 30 to 60 seconds cool down. Between 10 & 15 minutes. This has been effective for me.
