I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast and pre-workout everyday for over 2 years. In light of a few articles I have recently read, I’d like to change my carb source at these times.
CT seems to advocate a cup of blueberries as one such source. I’m not sure how much they cost elsewhere, but in Australia they’re $50 for a week’s supply - a price far exceeding what I can afford as a poor student.
What does everybody else consume at these times?
Btw, the rest of my carbs throughout the day are vegetables (except post-workout, which is dextrose/maltodextrin), so I generally try to make these two meals quite high in carbs - i.e. no less than 60g.

If oatmeal isn’t causing you any problems why switch?[/quote]
It seems that problems may develop without you being fully aware of them if you contunually eat the same food. Even if this isn’t the case, though, I am just sick of oatmeal and need a change.
Yeah, frozen is the way to go for us poor students. Vegies or fruit, if possible I buy it as it tends to be snap frozen and end up fresher than the stuff in the ‘fresh produce’ section. + it’s cheaper.
