Carb Cycling

Anyone used this for bulking? If so, what were the gains like (mention if it was not a natural bulk). How was the fat gain while doing this? I’m going to be on a bulking cycle this summer, and from what I’ve read this is a good diet, just looking for some more feed back before I take the plunge.

This would be a great question for CT tonight on Prime Time, he talked a bit about this once but I can’t remember what he said. Maybe he’ll notice the thread and chime in later.

Well that is a very open ended question. By cycling if you simply mean the amount and timing then yes. I eat carbs around my w/o’s and on off days tend to eat very low carb. Lots of veggies but limited fruit on off days.

Around my w/o I will eat a loarg amount of Carbs.

This is simply through experimentation and finding what works best for me.

Yes I have done things like UD2 and Even hard core low carb diets while trying to add mass. they can all work to a point but i still feel is diet is cvery indivdual and you simply need to slowly figure out the right amounts and timing for you.

I meant cycling in terms of No carb, low carb, and high carb days

Im actually starting this next week…

I first tried it for fat loss

with 1 HC, 1LC, 1NC days repeat and then a free day…

was loosing about 1% body fat x week…and gaining like 1/2 lb of muscle…so Im very encouraged to try it for bulking…

my plan is this

day 1 Lower Body…HC
day 2 Uppper Body…LC
day 3 GPP …LC
day 4 Lower Body…HC
day 5 Uppper Body…LC
day 6 GPP…NC
day 7 OFF…HC

so:
3 high carb days…
3 low carb-days…
1 no carb day…

well se how it goes

You should definatly try and experiment things, use a pre-designed nutrition program to help you with the parameters but you need to see what works for you and whats not working.

Check out the Anabolic Diet thread in this section. I think it’s about 3-4 pages back. You’ll find some good info there. Best diet I’ve ever used.
