Oh I get it. Just because there is worse on the net you feel that it would be okay.
If I had a young son or daughter who happened to walk in on you while you were gazing at the pics I’d make sure you were fired.
There are plenty of other sites that you can look at while on school premises. Besides it’s not you, I believe that your interests are sincere, it’s the other coach down the hall who will see your privilege and take it a step further.
The school is right, you’re wrong now move on.
Youd make sure he was fired over looking at a chick in a bikini at work? Get the fuck off of this site, it’s clearly not for you.

I think a teachers job is to teach and not surf the net. Especially on a site which depicts women showing more skin than not.
This is a case of bad timing for the teacher.
You don’t like my opinion…don’t read it. I’ll, in turn try to skip over your poorly sort out thoughts such as the one posted above.

I’ll be sure to automatically skip over all posts I don’t like in the future, that should be pretty easy.
Second, if you haven’t noticed you are fighting the majority here. This place is about more than just exercise, and it seems pretty clear that you don’t fit in with what the site, and majority of it’s members are about.

edders you need to get a life
Great idea! Make T-Nation mandatory reading for all high school football coaches and improve the level of play.

I agree that I hold a minority position on this particular topic on this specific forum. But why do you think it’s “T like” behavior to conform to the general opinion of the majority on any given topic? Does it make you more of a man to go along with the crowd? Does it make me less of a man to disagree?
We are all entitled to our opinion and in this case we just don’t agree, big deal.
I’m not intimidated in any way. And you shouldn’t be so scared as to have your opinion challenged.
On occasion most thinking adults (which may or may not include you) disagree with the majority, no big deal.
Next time, if we read each others posts that is, we might just agree.
Either way try not to lose any sleep over it, I assure you that I won’t

I never said anything about “t-like” behavior with regards to the general consensus. This place goes against the drumbeat of many others, it’s one of the things that makes it great.
We may or many not agree on other topics, I wouldn’t know as you seem pretty intent on just this one thread.
My point was, maybe this isn’t the place for you. You struck a nerve with myself and many others calling for someone to be fired over viewing a bikini clad women. And no, I won’t lose any sleep over this, it’s just the net.

It’s a big site. There are people like you on this site who spend time in the “ass worship” thread. And there are others who spend time reading the training articles. And still others who spend time in just about every area that t nation offers.
Whether it’s the “place for me” or not is really not your concern. Right?
To whoever asked about how the IT department decided that it was off taste, I believe that the filter just takes the text description of the pictures and decides if it is appropriate. It also filters out sites like remington for weapons.
So as it turns out all that I had to do was talk to them and they just put it on the allow list. As for having my job if I were to look at some pictures of women in bikinis, I’m pretty sure I can find another job.

A teachers job is also to try to better themselves so that they can teach better. Teachers have breaks, just like any other job. However instead of going and jaw jacking I get on the internet and read about training.
I also incorporate some of the information into my classes, so what is it that you don’t like about that. I also open the weight room for 3 hours everyday after school. Right now I am done with my workout and reading up so that when a kid asks me a question about training that I can answer with up to date information, and not some well thought out bullshit.

Good job Tweddy, surf the net as much as you can if it helps you and your students. Cutting edge info and opening the gym for the students is going those extra yards for them.
You must get some good results, nothing like leading by your actions rather than by words.

Actually I teach biology, A&P and physical science. But its really easy to work in some kinesiology and nutrition in my a&p class.
Edders: you act like I come in and sit down and surf the net while there are kids in class. I have an hour long break, an hour long lunch break, and after school when I’m in the weightroom waiting on kids to get done lifting I have a laptop. I am reading T-Nation on my own time.

why would it be on their own time ?
any i research i do for work i’m definitely getting paid for.
besides that, this isn’t such a hard issue. teacher’s do need to keep the viewing material appropriate. but the entire site doesn’t need to be blocked; that’s classic tossing the baby w/ the bathwater. i look at this site all day in very public places and as long as i don’t click on links that say “ass worship” i won’t see any ass. it’s that easy.

You just said it yourself. People do come here to read the training articles which is obviously what Tweddy has been doing. S what seems to be the problem? You do know that you can turn the powerful images off right?

You just made a quadruple post on an internet forum arguing about this guy being able to see T-Nation at a school.
Women are the ones who argue every single point you make.
Not every post is a personal attack on you and requires you to comment on every paragraph.
We heard your opinion, and we either care or we don’t. You’re not changing anything.
Nor are you by this post.[/quote]
Yeah, but 3/4 of my posts on this website aren’t arguing like a ranting idiot in this thread.

I happened to jump onto t nation at the same time this thread had appeared. My arguments have been fairly tame so far. But that it bothers you that I’m posting here on this thread so much sort of makes my laugh.
