Can't Eat a Big First Meal, Ever?

So I’m curious if anyone else has this “issue.” No matter what time I wake up, my first feeding, always has to be small. I hit a wall with anything “meal sized.” And if I eat a large breakfast I feel like throwing up and get a head ache.

Now it seems like if I eat something small(lately it’s been a bowl of yogurt and ground flax), I can put down a large meal within an hour after.

Anyone have any thoughts on why this is, or similar experiences?

what do you eat before you go to sleep every night?

keep a glass of salt water by your bed, chug it first thing when you open your eyes

I have the same problem.

The only thing I can eat a lot of first thing in the morning is coco pebbles…

I simply make a shake and drink it down just about everyday.

Add some oatmeal from a coffee grinder to Metabolic Drive and or use Metabolic Drive Complete.

I do have fresh pineapple with a mixture of yogurt and cottage cheese here and there.

I do not see a problem if you can get a little something down and then eat in an hour. Ever experimented with caloric density as your first meal? Something like a weight gainer shake or something. Then have real food.

I eat like a horse and could all the time if I let myself.

I have the same kind of issues. Recently, I’ve just been taking a meal replacement shake and then eat anything else I can stomach, like fruit, yougurt, or cereal. Then I’ll eat a pretty decent sized meal after about an hour or so. I’m rarely hungry first thing in the morning and this is about the only thing that doesn’t make me feel sick for the first part of the day.

A big first meal is a general guideline. Clearly your body rejects such a concept. Eating a small first meal and a larger one a little bit later is a good option, especially if it makes you feel good.

No need to ever eat a big meal anyhow. “Eat to live- don’t live to eat”

No offense but that’s kind of a crap statement. If I ate until I just felt good then I would never be able to put on weight. Using that guideline I’d be 15-20 lbs. lighter than I am now in no time. If he’s trying to put on weight, he’s going to have to force feed every so often beyond the “eating to live” feeling.

I found that i cant eat a large meal either when i wake up
I eat a small something like half a bacon egg cheese sandwich or peice of chicken as im running around getting ready. and a shake as im driving.

I leave the house 4 hours before i need to be at work so i have travel time gym time and a leisure sit down meal which is my second but large bfast after working out and before work.

This is a body building website, saying something like this WILL provoke flames. The whole point here to do everything reasonable to achieve physical development and that, if you can believe it, requires effort. Such as purposedly over-eating and making physique-oriented food choices everyday.

Otherwise we’d endulge in pizza and MSG loaded product, cuz they taste good and because “id rather enjoy life the fullest by enjoying food to the fullest than eat that those crappy boilen skinless chicken breasts” like some of my buddies say. A motivated individual sees no problem in sacrifising some things in life to achieve superiority. That does not include just physical, but also mental. Otherwise why “suffer” in life and study hard(like getting post-secondary education) for many years when you can “chill/party with your friends” 5 days a week instead ?

Eat to live- don’t live to eat… “to live” needs to be defined. you can live as a crack-head highschool dropout on welfare your whole life or you can make sacrifises for several years and live much differently. Do you discerne between the 2 variations of “to live” or not ? if yes then your statement is contradictory itself, EAT to LIVE, ie to promote better state of “to LIVE”, already asks for sacrifices in “EAT”.

Good luck, didnt mean to come off rude in any of my statements if it appeared to you so.

to me its all about goals and HOW BAD YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO OBTAIN YOUR GOALS:

If you want to gain size you will push thru the pain of a big meal

If youw ant to lose weight you will take the extra time to prepare what your body needs in the morning to fit your dietary lifestyle fit in line with your goals.

Speaking of provoking flames:
