Can You Lift It? Yes I Can!

Apparently the power was out… In that room only lol all the rooms around it had power.
I wasn’t really to stressed because I’d been carry buckets of concrete back and forth.
It’ll be interesting to see how quickly they fix the issue.

Surely all the energy in that room makes its own power… booooooom

So it begins…

Why do we need power to lift?

To be honest I’m not sure on where they stand at this point, they take their time fixing some shit but then they bought sexy new benches/plates

Well if you ask the missus "is powerlifting when you lift… With power? "
Apparently it is

40 and on jack hammer duty is pretty rough. What temp do they finally shut shit down? I worked at Holden year ago, on the line. If it was over 36 (from memory) we got a 10 min heat relief break each hour.

Yeah I was sweating more than a sinner at church.
Was absolutely soaked by the end of the day. Well the 2 and a half years I’ve been there they’ve never stopped work lol
Got an extra long lunch though and did stop quite a few times for a water break.

Friday workout:
Log press: 5x5 @ 62.5kg
NG pull-ups: 3x8 @ BW
Pause squats: 3 @ 140,150,160,150,140kg

Accessory:
Face pulls

Notes:
The Powerlifting room was back in business.
Back to painting today, took the dog for a walk before heading to the gym and it was still a lovely 38C.
Was lacking a bit of explosiveness but everything moved better than I was expecting.
Current nagging issues after my escapade as a labourer:
Lower back (feeling a bit weak above the hip)
Right wrist and forearm (almost feels like tightness and a weakness but hasn’t been an issue when used)

Lateral raises, cable curls, tricep push downs and upper back machine.

Notes:
Squats moved alright, Lower back is back to normal but wrist still feels a bit odd.

Thanks Ha I’d trade it to look a bit more like I lift at this stage… Or maybe a Swedish workout partner

Wednesday workout:
Log press: 5x7 @ 62.5kg
Good mornings: 10 @ 60,80,80kg

Accessory:
Face pulls
Cable curls/ss with BW squats
Cable shrugs

Notes:
So I really need to get that third session in otherwise the DOMs are awful.
Pressing moved well though.
Good mornings were used in an attempt to stretch my tight hamstrings, not convinced it helped though.
I’ll either be good as gold tomorrow or have worse DOMs than I started with.
Seems to be a lot more pseudo tough guys at the gym lately and they all seem to tell me about what they lift.

Those dudes hitting on you? Stop wearing booty shorts then

But bro, how will anyone know that I lift then?
