Can You Lift It? Yes I Can!

Why thank you kind sir lol

Thursday workout:
Pause squats: 3 @ 140,160,170kg
3.2 @ 180kg (did 5 reps but last 2 were slightly high)
2x6 ATG @ 100kg
NG pull-ups: 3x8 @ BW

Accessory:
Face pulls and incline machine chest press.

Notes:
Weighed in at 87kg
So I’m going to count the last two squat reps seeing as they were only slightly above parallel.
Of course someone felt the need to tell me that and that they only squat ATG…
Other than that everything moved pretty well.
Managed to get out for a bit of a drive today

Was a pretty interesting drive, looks like a scene out of movie.

Hottest heat wave in 2 years then torrential rain and thunderstorms have our 4wd tracks up the shithouse our way
Everything either crumbles or is too deep to cross

Haha its been a bit like that here too.
Was 28 And sunny in Canberra and surrounds today, only the NP was shrouded in fog.

Thursday workout:
Pause squats: 2 @ 160,170kg
5 @ 150kg
2x30 @ 60kg

Notes:
The heat and early starts have been killing me.
working outside, over 40*c and they wouldn’t send us home.
Honestly anything above 3 plates felt heavy.
All in all not a great workout

Good effort even making it to the gym after sweating your balls off all day at work in this shit heat mate! What sort of work you do?
I used to have a ball breaker boss that would never be happy, kept everything rolling even when above 40, even hand stacking shipping containers and shit, they were like an oven.
Little bit cooler here today, finally, and some rain, but hot as fuck for all of next week again

We had some rain last night too but they’re still predicting a 40C day.
I’m a painter. We’re painting an exterior at the moment, it’s mostly prep work right now so sanding and shit

These were always the bosses I had :joy::joy:. Work until you get lightheaded and the vision begins to blur. Then take a lunch break in the shade but don’t go inside. Then when the vision clears up. Last man standing gets paid

Yeah he pays the best or at least the best I’ve found in Canberra.
I complain but I like money more lol
It allows me to complain with the air-con on

There wouldn’t be much actual painting going on with this freaking heat would there? Took me ages to paint my pergola due to the heat, short bursts in the morning until my paint tray was drying before my eyes, then pack that shit up.
You’ll be copping out stinking hot week too, 43 here on Thursday

Really wasn’t enthused about hitting the gym today, Powerliftering room was closed too (apparently it didn’t feel like working out either)

What was their reason for closing it?
