I hate hate cleaning up after cooking. I just don’t have the time for all of this.
Could I just throw a bunch of clean food in a blender. Add some water and chug???
anyone else do this? What do you put in the blender?

That sounds like a disgusting idea for some foods, but you can use the blender and food processor for whatever you want.
i don’t really care for taste. hold my nose if i have to.
i’ll eat anything if it’s good and easy for me.
just curious what other people are doing? i’m thinking oats, peanut butter, water, vegetables, fruits, and some protein powder??
Congrats. You figured out how to make a shake. Well done 09er
Dont forget the extra light olive oil though.
Yes.
Anabolic Glop
Todays version: Quantities close approximations
1 pound of ground beef lightly sauteed
1/4 pound of raw beef liver
8 boiled whole eggs
3/4 of a 15 ounce can of salmon including liquid and bones(the rest goes to my daughter)
Either a can of sardines or half a can of Jack Mackerel
Collard greens (by sight)
Broccoli (by sight)
a medium raw beet
5 raw jalapeno peppers
1 small raw green zucchini
Raw green beans (by sight)
A head of raw garlic
a handful of walnuts
1/2 cup of flax meal
1/4 cup of raw oats
5 overflowing measured tablespoons of EVOO
1 Twinlab multi vitamin and 1 Twinlab multi mineral cap each opened and poured in.
All of the above goes in a jumbo size Hamilton Beach food processor and turned into a thick sorta lumpy babyfood consistency.
Greens can be any kind or spinach and some of the veggies can be swapped for other veggies depending on sales. Turnips, Rutabagas, different squashes, different hot peppers etc. All low carb varieties. Liver is 3 times a week. On the other days I substitute more beef to keep the preformed vitamin A under control.
Greens go in first then the rest of the veggies, garlic, and walnuts. Process to get the volume down. Add salmon, vitamins, minerals, EVOO, flax meal and oats, process again. Add eggs and liver, process again. About 2 minutes each time. Add beef last and process another 2 - 3 minutes shaking the food processor around vigorously to make sure it all gets worked in.
Makes almost 3 large mason jars. 2 go to me one to my wife. My 2 jars are 3 of my six meals for the day except Saturday which is my one carb day now.
In the morning I throw my oats that have been soaked overnight, mix some protein powder and blend. At night, I’ll stick broccoli and some water , blend it and down that shit.

that’s fucking hardcore brah. fish, meat, and liver? i can’t believe the wifey would even touch the stuff.
Is it hard to down it? I like it though. How has this been working out for you? how long you been doing it?
I’ve tried blending and eating just about anything. Mike Matarazzo said he used to blend tuna and apple juice.
Over time I realized that I digest better when I actually chew my food, and there is research to back this up, that chewing is an important part of the digestive process. So I don’t blend weird shakes anymore.
That being said, I still blend 1 or 2 shakes a day. I just stick with the basics (like whey, Metabolic Drive, strawberries, bene-fiber, flax oil) because it digests better.
However, you don’t need to cook and make a mess to eat a nutritionally sound meal. You can microwave frozen fish filets and broccoli on one plate. Boiled eggs take up one pot. Eat tuna from the can. Etc, etc.
Seen this blender on an infomercial http://www.myhealthmaster.com Looks like it could blend up or emulsify just about anything. Kinda spendy, but looking around at higher end blenders, it looks like a good deal. Think it might work good for what you are talking about.
I was sick of eating my veggies there for a while so i would just blend whole heads of brocoli with apple and drink that shit. Gave me the runs within two hours so i stopped. Eating the same head of brocoli doesn’t have this effect.
Agree with the chewing food being important thing.
Blenders are for protein shakes and the occasional pina colada. I just don’t understand why anyone would ruin the pleasure of tasting, chewing and eating healthy, delicious food by pulverizing it into goo.
Don’t have time to eat? To me, that’s like saying “Don’t have time for sex.”
Make the time and enjoy.

Got something against quickies?
I throw a bunch of crap in a blender for breakfast:
Frozen fruit
A banana
Some berries
Cottage cheese
Broccoli
Spinach
Avocado
Milk
Egg whites
Dashes of nut oils
Oats
Gets me my calories fast and doesn’t taste absolutely horrible.

I actually laughed out loud. That clip is amazing.

I’ve never really found eating to be enjoyable. It also seems the healthier it is, the longer it takes to eat. I FORCE myself to eat. If I did what I wanted, I’d weigh 140.

Yeah, I agree. Homemade weight gain shakes have been key for me. Some cooked oatmeal, fruit, protein powder, and occasionally sweet potato works well. At some point, eating and chewing just becomes a chore.

When it’s hot out, I can’t eat for shit, I’m super slow and I can only eat 1/4 of the amount that I should eat and that takes me 30-40 min.
The taste of any food in the hot weather makes me nauseated, each bite feels like the one that will send me to the bathroom (to puke).
It can take me an hour to eat the proper amount of food, and that just isn’t going to work when, as a student, I have to go study. Blender to the RESCUE.
