Something I thought about a while back, and then someone else mentioned it to me - said that some others over on EM had experienced issues with long term effects of using an AI.
My low T problems started around the time I tried aromasin from India (bought online).
Any comments? Thoughts?
Any labs? I wonder if you crashed your estradiol.
Aromasin (exemestane) is a suicidal, steroidal aromatise inhibitor meaning it binds to the estrogen receptor, killing and therefore deactivating it. The body should synthesise more aromatise enzyme when the drug is stopped, however this may take some time, some people prefer to use exemestane over adex because the slow synthesis of aromatise enzyme after cecesion of use negates the chance of estrogen rebound which is a possibility with non suicidal AIās
Anecdotally I was on anastrazole (arimidex, a non steroidal AI that merely stops the aromatise enzyme from having any effect with regards of conversion to estrogen). I was prescribed 1mg/day for around two years to attempt to prevent premature ephysial plate closure. It took quite a long time for my estrogen to bounce back, as in over a year, however it eventually came right. The story could be different with a suicidal AI though. The AI caused a lot of problems for me, never using them again⦠ever⦠EVER
