CaMK questions?

Has anyone else heard the news about calmodulin-dependent protein kinase or CaMK? Apparently a research group have done experiments on mice and producing a gene that made an excess of CaMK along with another protein callled calcenirum which can trigger the effects on muscle cells that appears after undergoing exercise. Mice that produced higher levels of CaMK developed more mitochondria in the muscle cells and saw an increase in slow twitch muscle fiber types. Of course these mice developed these characteristics since birth, but this still could lead to finding pathways or different receptor/ligase positions in adults that could create similar effects. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks in advance.
