whew, bet your relieved your plan went smoothly.

Did go to the gym today. Started with handstands and cartwheel practise. Finally figured out that it’s this that is causing me some elbow pain (not during, but certainly after). Back squat does give me some golfer’s elbow, but this is in a different part of the joint. I guess I’d better warm 'em up more thoroughly.
Did a bit of pressing and squatting but felt hungry by that point so headed on home. Truth be told I’m finding the computer game I’m currently playing considerably more alluring than the gym. So be it.
Sometimes distraction (games, etc) is good. PLEASE make sure that you stretch every 15-20 mins while you are at the computer. Don’t want to let your improvements in thoracic extension go to the wayside.
Keep up the all of the good work in and out of the gym!
Everyone needs and deserves a break here and there…take it, enjoy it and youll be back at it with even more fire!!
what are you playing??
Fallout: New Vegas. I generally wait a few months after a game is released so that there are patches to fix all the bugs, then I play it until I’ve explored pretty much everything I can. I am a huge fan of the Fallout series, so I’m loving this.
:D!! ha! nothin wrong with game love. i’m jealous of you, never been able to get into or live to the next level on any sorta video game…it seems like such a great escape too ![]()
cool - I’m still playing LOTR online, waiting for Diablo to come out. I have a feeling I might be on a deload month when it does ![]()
i have to be careful not to get sucked into computergameland. managed to steer clear of it since i cancelled my WOW subscription. some virtues of having a mac, i guess. i have an incredibly addictive personality, though.
Yeah I’ve steered clear of MMOs since putting 7 years of my life into Ultima Online. At least with a single player game I don’t have to feel as though I’m missing out on something by not being logged in.
yes. that is true. i am a weirdo, though. how many people do you know who login to a MMORPG in order to play solo (refuse to group - but I’ll buff) as a priest.
so much fun.

might and magic IV mandate of heaven is my favorite game ever. some random dude on youtube has a whole walkthrough (he gets progressively more engrossed in his narration which is amusing if you are a fan). the graphics are very basic indeed, but the music / sound effects are amazingly effective in luring you into the game world:
graphics are better than nethack, admittedly.
so wish i could get this for my mac. sigh.
I play LOTR online as though it were a single player game to prevent that crap. Sometime I go weeks without playing. I just ignore all the fellowship invites and cancel group quests.
oh god, the hours I wasted on Nethack! I started playing that on my very first PC in 1988 (although back then it was just called Hack).
Saturday today and I have to go the school for the Open Day. Fortunately it’s just a few hours but there will be around 2.5 hours of travel on top of that as it takes me over an hour to get there. Sigh. But once that’s out of the way we’re down to the last week of term and then three weeks of Easter holiday. Have to do my lesson plans in that time, but hey ho.
I have just managed to squeeze in a run, though. Did my 3.1 mile common circuit but with 10 hill sprints (not a very steep hill - it’s just the railway bridge, and it’s pavement, not mud). Felt I needed the shake-up. My diet’s been shit this week - I blame PMT (and being weak-willed). Right, bath, then change into parent-greeting clothes. Sigh.
Look at all the video game nerds over here! The only game I’ve ever gotten into was Tetrus. That was a long time ago! My escape currently involves locking myself in the bathroom. Well, we do have an awesome library and I do love to have some fine literature going (code for smutty romance novel).
Cal, you’ll get back on your game with the diet and no damage done. Good for you with running some hills. I live on a pretty steep hill and one of my little girls is in a wheelchair, or you might call it “the prowler”. I’d let you borrow her if you were here. ![]()
HAHAH! I love all the computer nerds here. I’m a nerd (plus socially awkward) - computer games should be write down my alley, really.
Good for you getting in those workouts. Hill sprints suck balls! no matter what size the hill is. And I feel ya, my diet has been total shit! I, on the other hand, have no excuses.
Have fun at the open day!! Lucky you - 3 weeks of holiday!
Your diet’s allowed to be shit, you’ve been quite a busy beaver.
Great job getting a run and sprints in though.
3 weeks of Easter holiday? That’s awesome!
The kids here have 1 week, and they’ve been monkeying around in the gym, trying to injure themselves. School starts back on Monday, bless their little hearts.
yeah, most schools have two weeks but mine is a private school. But as I said, I’ll spend a third of that doing lesson plans so it’s not all fun and games.

this made my heart smile
Hope Parents’ Day goes well Cal.
I’m impressed that you got the training in considering your busy schedule this week. Hill sprints on pavement are a killer.
Easter break probably can’t come soon enough, huh?
