Ok, i’m going to give allll my info. and if anyone can help me out you’de be the shit
First off im trying to loose weight i am 6’3’’ 240 pounds and have a pretty good idea on how but one problem. Im taking in 2,000 calories a day on an average and i KNOW thats not enough. My splits are 45% 45% 10% and i’m raising them 100 kCal a week right now, but 2,000 kcal is driving me insane it isnt ot alot of food at all.
If i raise it anymore would that help out with speeding up my metabolism? I haven’t been taking any protein or carb drinks and my diet is really clean. If anyone has any pointers or wants more info. please don’t hesitate.
Also my workouts are less then an hour, VERY high intensity the rep range is 6-8 and i lift about 5-6 days a week, cardio 6 days a week and i cycle HIIT cardio and regular. I lift at 6 A.M. and usually do cardio later in the day.
If you want to feel fuller faster. Then go on a high protein/high fat/low carb diet. Helps for losing weight as well since your insulin isn’t being spiked as much,
You never stated if you were losing wieght or not. I asume if you are asking about the diet there is a problem… hungry all the time or not losing wieght.
Other than that of you have been dieting for a long time you may want to bring your calories up for a while then bring them back down…
Okay, my understanding is that if you’re not eating more calories you’re going to lose a lot of lean muscle mass doing what you’re doing…that’s not what you want. So I think you might have to up your calories and eat very clean. Am I right about that? I’m not a nutritionist or anything…I’m just assuming that’s the case. Post your diet.
I disagree with Surge being a necessity PWO, mikeyp, but that’s another story. Gatorade’s HFCS can’t be doing any good, however.
Cereal and yogurt at 9am are too far-removed from your workout to have any carb effect, I’d say, but you’re taking in over 60g of carbs at that point.
Instead of eating them as a lump, try slowly eating them over time. A PT friend of mine suggests evening out carb consumption after workouts so your body has a constant flow of carbs to draw from as energy. If you eat them as a lump, he says, they’re more likely to get stored as fat.
I find it hard to believe a man 6’ 3" is eating 2000 a day. A woman 5’ 6" can weigh 128 pounds and eat that much without exercising at all. Please use Fitday. 3825 calories to maintain your weight!!! Do you want to weigh 120 pounds? Not cute on a 6’ 3" frame. Ewww. Wrong forum!!!
wildman: its not about “50g or more at a time is bad.” Its just a suggestion you could try out, if you’re so inclined.
Okay, be honest: do you ever snack or nibble on stuff? Are you iron-clad in following this thing? And do you take HR or Alpha Male or any of those things?
