BF, let’s say I dont look bad in my tight leather clothes

you may be the fattest guy under 25.

that’s about all i think you’ve managed to acomplish
I’ve seen a couple far away pics as his avatar and not only does he not look 300 pounds, he doesn’t even look like he trains.

About the under 25 crowd, I’m actually slowly realizing that many of the (who I thought to be) more serious members on this site are actually not so serious. I won’t be naming any names but I would have thought to see more progress than I have from some of them.

I started lifting seriously ~a year ago at 5’10"-5’11" 196lbs and around 20%bf, I now weigh 202 at ~13%. I think that’s pretty decent progress in a year. I’ve added I’ve gone up 45lbs in my db press working basically exclusively between 8-12 repsand I’m 120lbs in sldl.

I’m 20btw.

Age only came up because of the members in the T-Cell who were supposed to be more serious than average to begin with. I’m early 30’s. Not middle aged. However, it is an observation that many of these people, especially the crowd just hitting college, seems less dedicated.

whether you’re ‘serious’ or not on the forums shouldn’t really be an accurate guage of how dedicated/intense you are in the gym.

unless of course, you meant how serious you are in the gym. in which case, we’re on the same page, and i think you for your time.
Yes…this post was a waste. I expect more funny from you, soldier. You are dismissed.

i would do anything Cheeta dared me to do

I’m a lot more relaxed and somewhat a little more in-consequent than when I started training on my age of 21/22. Overanalysing every little detail in the beginning, how to hit biceps just right and why didn’t my chest size come up with the rest of my body. If I had the size then there would be some kind of reason for this crap. I ended up at ~192lbs with a bodyfat of >20%.

My worst bodybuild nightmare came true, I was pretty chubby and only in a shirt I looked a little bit impressive.
Just keep it simple, especially for yourself and you need more food to put on more size. And if the bodyfat is getting out of hand, clean up the food, do some cardio and take it from there. And learn what your body has to tell you over the training years to come.

HEY!

you’re pretty poor you fat schmuck

i think bodybuilding is a dieing art. i’ve been training for 4 years seriously, and i can honestly say there aren’t any people i know my age even training. it’s pretty sad. i live in wisconsin so that could be the problem, but my generation are all fat alcoholic druggies. so anyone under 25 who even works out once a week your doing more than a lot of people so kudos to you.

oh and here are my stats. been on a lot of other threads. i rather train then talk about training.

age:23
height:5’8"
weight:223

Yeah, seriously. It is quite tasty. I grilled it.

I wonder what % of those posting here will actually make decent progress

It’s funny to see many motivated beginners write about calling out and shit, but I would like to see them as motivated, or even still in the game when they actually make some noticeable gains.

Can I do this for powerlifting? And do I have to include pictures?

I’d take that dare just to get to know Cheeta in person :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: LOL (ok ok and as a true gym rat from the glimpses of where she trains from some of her former pics would probably have me going there if I lived in iceland too…LOL!)

hey guys you can’t stereotype an entire age. If your young and motivated, yada yada, then obviously those threads weren’t talking about you.

I’d just ignore it and go on about my business instead of try to prove that I train hard. I know I do…I don’t have to show that to anybody on tnation. lol

Hey this is Matthaeus’s friend again. While i agree with everything you say, its about time we had some young guys who actually make progress in the T-cell…like me! Besides I’m sure Waylander and Holymac are getting pretty lonely in there all by them selves. =)

you either go at this shit hard or you don’t, age is a moot point, you can’t lie because this is Bodybuilding, results are glaring and external
Yep, that’s it.

For everyone who’s posted their stats I really hope it motivates you and helps you prove what you want to, because it seems like there’s rarely an “after” thread/picture/etc…we’ll see if one shows up here. For the record, I hope it does.

…I guess sometimes I don’t understand these threads. You’re walking around with the proof of your work- it’s right there for everyone to see. As quoted above the “results are glaring and external”.

Put the effort in towards getting bigger/stronger and the time will come when you don’t have to worry about proving anything to others.

Of course, this is an online forum, so the situation is slightly different here than walking around in public. Either way, keep at it guys, and good luck. Though luck doesn’t have shit to do with anything.
