Out of these possibilities, which is my best option (not looking for support, just warmth)?

Rehband: 7mm, 5mm, 3mm

or

Tommy Kono?[/quote]

I recently purchased a pair of the new “Coreline” 7751 sleeves which are 5mm thick. I don’t have any existing knee issues–I am just trying to keep it that way. They keep my knees nice and warm and offer a small amount of support.

I’ve noticed a big difference in how my knees feel after a workout. Initially, I was interested in the 3mm version, but was unable to find them for sale. I see no reason to purchase the 7mm sleeves unless you really prefer the old all-blue color scheme. I purchased the sleeves from www.jackalsgym.com/

How did you guys measure for sizing of the bands? When I went on the Rehband home page site, the sizing diagram picture almost appears that you should measure below the knee, which is a very different measurement. I was prepared to measure around the center of the knee cap. ???

Jackal’s Gym and Dynamic-Eleiko say to measure around the center of the knee cap with your leg straight. The diagram on Rehband’s site doesn’t seem to be drawn for strict interpretation of measurement procedure.

Inzer makes some nice ones.

In regards to the opening for the patella in knee sleeves (maybe knee braces rather than sleeves? I’m not so sure of the construction differences), the idea is that this helps maintain patella alignment during contraction of the quadriceps.

They are sometimes recommended for use in patellofemoral syndrome (and I’m sure other situations that I haven’t experienced) when the vastus medialis does not sufficiently counter the lateral glide of the other quadriceps femoris muscles.

I have also found them useful when stretching the quads.
