So, does anyone on here collect? I have a few Sinn’s, a couple Zenith’s, and a few nicer pieces. Anyone else?

I about half a dozen or so, cheap gym watch, few divers for daily with a few straps that get swapped about, A Stowa, Tag Aquaracer and a Rolex Sub.
No doubt treat myself to something else in a couple of weeks as i have an empty space in my watch box.
Like the look of Panerai’s but not quite sure about them so going to pick up something like the Precista PRS-20 to see how I get on with it, lot of money to wrap up in a watch thats not going to keep its value as well as a Rolex

I do. Omega, Panerai (several), and Vacheron. Getting ready to pull the trigger on an AP Safari, but also thinking about a ceramic sub, a gold Cartier Santos, or maybe a JLC master ultra thin. I’d love to hear about your Zeniths.
For the range…I’m definitely, without question taking Michael Kors. I’ve got several high end watches and a ton of not so high end. My $400 gold/white face Kors gets more compliments than any of them.

Check out the Showcase on Timezone.com. Panerais keep their value BETTER than Rolex…
BREITLING, it’s a step up but worth it

I’m a huge fan of the El Primero movement, so the first Zenith I bought was a Rainbow Flyback with the rainbow dial. I still love that watch. I also purchased an Elite on a leather strap that doesn’t get much wrist time, but that I really like.
Around 3 years ago, I reached a professional goal of mine and I purchased a WG Daytona, ref 116509. The day after I bought it, the guy at the watch store called me up and said they just got a SS Daytona in with a black face, and did I want it. So, I bought that one too and flipped it immediately. It was literally days before the Lehman bankruptcy and I got really lucky, prices cratered after Lehman filed. Although by cratered, I mean you could actually walk off the street and buy a SS Daytona for retail.
So, my next purchase is a SS Daytona with the El Primero movement. Once I have that, I’ll be happy with my chrono collection (Sinn 6000, Omega Broad Arrow, Sinn 303,) and I’ll move on to some other pieces.
Note: Not my pic, not my watch.

Why you interested? Are you a second story man?
Breitlings, Omegas, Tissots and a beautiful Hublot. I have 2-3 which I wear and the rest are in the bank.
Had a solid gold 1972 Day Date Super President with baguette diamonds which I sold to start my business. Never really liked it as it was too gaudy for me, but it was a good investment.
If you are looking for a daily watch, I personally would not bother spending more than $500. Get something with a durable band and that doesn’t look like a woman would wear it. Make sure it doesn’t look cheap. If you wear other jewelery, match your metals or get a black watch which goes fine with golden or silver metals.
Also consider your situation. Usually young guys with higher end watches look stupid unless they dress the part as well.

Specifically, the El Primero movement is fantastic; generally, so are Zeniths. Although I’ve never owned one, I’ve always admired Zenith (with the exception of the “Xtreme” stuff). I really like their newer, vintage styled offerings. I’m not a huge chrono guy (thus my love of Panerai), but at some point, I’ll get a Daytona - they’re classic, and go well with everything. Great collection - thanks for sharing!
I have this one:
Don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for or not, but the price is right.

Yeah I definitely get that. Now I have talked to do many people and have heard so many telling me to save up for a used Rolex. If that were ever to be the case it would definitely be something I wore when I dressed up and when out. And man at my age I’d be scared people would try to jump me for it lol

What’s “dressing the part?” I’m a relatively young guy, and wear my five figure watches with shorts and a t-shirt on the weekend. I don’t need to dress up to wear a nice watch so that other people can be impressed. Assumptions are dangerous…

Sometimes, I wear my suits without a watch. The point is, there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself to something nice (provided you’ve earned it), regardless of who you are, or who you’re perceived to be.
Have you considered a Seiko? They have a fantastic range of watches (from sub $300 chronos, to their Grand Seiko Spring Drives that start above $10,000). Check them out if you haven’t already.

Yeah I have thanks for the heads up though. I’ve looked through tons of brands many I cant even pronounce. Lol, but seikos are nice and my dad has a few so I will definitely keep looking.
What would you guys think about this TAG? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bar/3037186044.html

I second the Seiko suggestion it’s a solid brand with great budget offerings.
Here is a decent forum to find some decent budget watches:
Affordable watches | WatchUSeek Watch Forums – Budget Section
And here are some of the more popular suggestions you’ll find in the budget range:
Seiko Black Monster: I have one and they look great in person, very rugged. They weigh a ton.
Seiko 007:
Tissot Men’s PRC 200:
Orient Mako:
Citizen AT4008-51E:

K Mart or equivalent low end clothing lines. At least look like you can afford the nicer things in life.
BTW kudos to you if you can afford watches like that. But I call BS unless you post up some pics of said watches w/ make and model and something unique to I.D. that it is legit. lol

Like the assumption that others are impressed by your watch? If I see someone wearing a watch that cost five figures and they aren’t mega rich I would really question their priorities.
