Hey guys. So I just posted a thread about jobs i know but I have some money saved up and I just got a job today at a nice restaraunt! Anyway, I was given grad money by my parents for this specific reason. Im looking to buy a watch for up to 200-600$. What brands would you guys recommend? I was looking at mostly black band watches but Im open. List some brands or thoughts please!
Surely you have some better use for that money than a watch. How about tuition,books etc…

I knew that this would be your guys’ ideas but my parents are wanting me to buy a watch. I know it sounds ridic but my parents gave me the money with the intention to spend. It was part of my grandfather’s money that passed and my mom wants the kids to spend it on something we want. Not rent, or books, or tuition. But thanks for the replies thus far!

My bad man. I was trying to keep it short. But yes my parents would almost be bummed if I didn’t buy something I wanted. Suggestions now? Been looking around but it’s pretty rough.

I used to have a Citizen Eco-Drive (stolen from the locker room at the gym … partly my fault for leaving it in there) that I was in love with … you never have to change the battery on those suckers, they’re sleek looking and great for out doors, casual and semi-formal occasions/work … They come in different varieties to fit your tastes … I had a Skyhawk with clasp polyurethane band that they (unfortunately) discontinued … I fuckin’ loved that watch

Do you want a watch? Is there nothing you’d rather buy? New phone, TV, computer, speakers, car… I’d find it hard to justify spending that much on a watch since a 10000 dollar swiss watch can’t tell time better than a 20 dollar Casio, but if you’d find pleasure in buying a watch, do it.

This would be my choice. I think the model is king khaki or something. Classy and timeless.
Nixon makes some Sharp watches. I have a square faced watch called “The Playa”, and I love it. It’s actually the only semi-nice jewelry I currently own. I’ll upload a pic later.

With cell phones I have no need for a watch anymore, my last one was Victorinox which I liked, they have a lot in your price range.

Agreed. I have a couple nixons myself…nice watches.
