Butterbean vs. Sean O'Haire

Butterbean has profited remarkably from his dubious “talents”. I’m sure the money, and the concomitant pussy the money generates, makes looking in the mirror much easier on him. He is probably not concerned with his omega ratios.

Google Sakuraba and Shamrock for starters, on guys who were pro wrestlers before becoming shooters

Uh, I agree that Sakuraba was a pro-wreslter before entering mma (although he was a wreslter before a pro-wreslter), but shamrock was a mmaer (the term didnt exist when he started) before a prowrestler.

If you’re refering Ken/Frank’s involement in pancrase, I’d disagree with the notion that all those matches were fixed.
Shamrock wrestled professionally under the name Vince Torelli (I believe) prior to Pancrase. And yes, most of the matches in Pancrase were worked shoots, although no one knows for sure whether Ken’s matches were all shoots, or if they were worked, if he knew that.

Pancrase really was an extension of pro wrestling in its early days, so providing the fans with exciting, dramatic matches was the company’s priority.

Kurt Angle is seriously broken down, and rumor has it the UFC wants nothing to do with him as long as he is actively pro wrestling. If the stories about Angle’s pain killer addictions and mental stability are true, it does not bode well for his future in general, much less any options he may have in MMA.

Who did you “hear” these accounts from?

Unless you’re close friends with 2 or more of the few WWE wrestlers and WWE road agents who witnessed them wrestling, you read them somewhere.

Don’t paint everyone with the same brush. Sean O’Haire was a pro wrestler and so was Lesnar. The similarities end there. Lesnar is tougher, stronger, much more athletic, has an insane work ethic and trains with the best team in the country. What remains to be seen is how he can handle getting punched in the face. If he can (and I believe he can), I think he’ll do just fine in MMA.

I’ve heard the Angle smoking Lesnar backstage in amateur wrestling story too. I also heard from others that it was extremely close. I don’t think Lesnar is quite an olympic caliber wrestler, and he would probably lose to Mocco 3-1 or 2-0 if they wrestled. The fact is, it doesn’t really matter.
UFC wanted to Angle to fight 1x a year if possible but mostly as a goodwill ambassador.

WWE told him he has a lifetime job in the office, as an ambassador or as a road agent, but he threw that away.

If you do a background check on sean o’haire you’ll see he was a very accomplished MMA fighter long before he was in the WCW or the WWE!! He only went into wrestling to make more money. I was a long time o’haire fan from his K1 days long before he was in the wwe… Do your research before dogging someone…

IIRC O’Haire has always been a big martial artist and in fact owned/still owns a martial arts school in the Outer Banks. When rasslin became popular in the mid-late 90s, he saw an ad for a wrestling school, decided to go, then had a decent position in WCW.

Re: MMA he’s only had 3 fights BUT I’m sure he’s had a lot of MA ‘fights’ before he started wrestling.
