That bike is SWEET! Full suspension must feel so comfy compared to a hardtail. My bike is ancient. I think it is a 1999 model frame… but I love it and it is still relatively light.
Really nice training and I’m with you on the late night lifting. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
And I know that I’m probably nuts but I love doing upright rows. One of my favorite accessories for upper. I’ve personally never had a problem doing them.
Thursday is my deadlift day this week and My glutes and hams are so sore I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to move enough to do the lifting. I still have not made it to the chiro but I did some stretching and mobility stuff and got the right one to get back where it belongs a bit and it feels about 80% better and I am albe to do way more with it that the left. So next week I will get my butt to the chiro and get my hips adjusted the rest of the way. UGhhh any whooss my lifting went like so
deadlifts
190 x 2 (stopped right there and knew i was not going to be able to go any more)
135 x 8
135 x 10
140 x 8
140 x 7
145 x 8
150 x 9
Veg, I did order that bike and am totally stoked for it to come. I just need the rain to stop so that I can go into the mtns without slipping all over the trail or getting snowed on. I knew that you would understand about the late night training. In fact you were my biggest inspriration for going that late, I recalled you going right before hte gym closed and thought that if you could do that I certainly could get it done
Looks like you have a sweet set up there. Farm living sounds nice, I’m sick of cities. Again thanks for making my log look more impressive, in the future I’ll have to live up to that deadlift number.

Sweet little bit of training, nothing spectacular but it doesn’t need to be to make me happy. I managed to pull without no problems. I did not want to do more than what was on the list, my hamstrings and glutes are just starting to feel human again

Been real busy, but still hitting things hard as ever. Time for things to settle down a bit. I love my new mtn bike, love it!!! Totally stoked for some snow to melt in the mtns up high so that I can get in some epic riding… soon…
Ensurin good depth on all the squats. My legs are a bit sore from this training yesterday. goin for a mtn bike ride today Comin up on a deload week - it will be a short one though, cause I am goin camping over the 4th. Want to get my lifting week in before I leave for that.
not a great picture - I will take another one of these days.
I also put 11 miles on it today… I got caught in the rain and it was awesome, the thunder and lighting was rolling around about 10 miles away as the crow flies. Talk about gorgeous and breath-taking! Stunning bike ride this evening

Love summer in the big sky!! You know that you have every right to be jealous…
My niece is with me for a while, so she came and trained with me this morning. It was interesting - I am trying to force her to not worry about my weight and to just do what she can with the best possible form. She is the typical uncoordinated teenager though, knees and elbows. We are working on it though. I was suprised that she felt the bike ride wore her out more than she thought it would. she is a pretty fit kid but the typical want to take the easy way out kid. All in all we are making it work and i hope that she is learning a lot.
Strong training in here as always. Your bench press always takes my breath away. And congrats on the new bike! Glad to hear that you are really enjoying it. Nothing like being outside in a beautiful place. SUMMERTIME!!
Took the day off from training yesterday, but it still was far from an easy day. We did the relay for life cancer walk/run on friday night…needless to say got a few meager hours of sleep in a cold tent on a recently airated football field. Heading back to the house and we get a call that our friends house is in danger of flooding so we went over and help organize a sandbagging party… spent 7 hours filling and laying out sandbags.
Came home and moved my irrigating water, ate an early steak dinner and went to bed at 7 o’clock.
Takes me into today training - still deloading btw
