check you OUT–I wanna hang out with firemen! You’re training to be an EMT? that is great!!
OH YEAH.and great workouts! :)!
Fireman are cool! Yea I am training for the EMT thing, hoping to be done by the end of the summer. I have been on calls but only as a helper so it will feel good to get my hands into it and be able to help out people more than ever!
THanks.
Nadia, not to sure how much power there is to be had - but it is always fun trying to direct traffic, mostly that is the perfectionist in me though that wants to be in control of everything.
I am certain that I could never have a constant training companion just cause I care so much about “my” training I am not sure I could divert my attention long enough to give 2 rats about their stuff.
That’s excellent stuff. I have a friend who’s a paramedic but he doesn’t get to play with firemen (although he does get to drive the ambulance).
Strong training, too, but nothing new there!
Cal, not sure how things work over on your side of the pond. But in the U.S. if you are on the fire dept. they normally require that you are an EMT of some sort.
Paramedic is a whole nother level though - that is just right up there with being a Physicians Assistant, def. dont have the time or patience for that kind thing…

Bench felt strong but that is really noothing to new. Just wish I could get my deads to feel as strong than I would be happy. I am not really focusing on gaining much in terms of strength right now though - getting ready for this run in June is my priority. Plan to run Tuesday, thursday, Saturday & Sunday. Doing a conditioning workout after my normal weight training should be sufficient for now. Keeping the diet super Clean. But lots of meat & green veggies, with some berries for dessert. If I am feeling totally deprived I got some recipes I can make that will fall within my acceptable category for a refeed or whatever the heck you want to call it. Okay there ya go for today.
N~~ thanks sweety. Yea I did one or two with 2 fingers but not a solid set that way. They are tough for sure, I take it LONG & SLOW to, very deliberate movement.
I’ve actually been on the dept. for about 5 yrs now and the training officer for 2 years. It is pretty fun and also very motivating to be the best I can be at all times. You never know which call is going to require you to go beyond what is thought to be impossible, above & beyond!
45 minutes of running, a bit over 5.25 miles . I can’t remember the number exactly. But it was a good run & I felt really good about my stride, pace and breathing. Good stuff!
I remember you talking about rucking in fire gear and studying for your EMT-B. Good for you. This country would burn down if we didn’t have awesome volunteers like you. Thanks for your sacrifices and expertise. Cool fb pix, good cause.
As always, you are doing some badass training. 3 finger pullups, prowler, pushups of all kinds, etc. Love it all.
Still very jealous of your bench numbers. Nice job on the 145x5!
Veg~ thanks for the props on the fire stuff. It keeps me occupied and its nice to be able to help oneself and others when the time comes.
I’m a big fan of the pushups, I am trying to do some kind of pushup in every workout and see how that helps out the rest of my pushing. I am loving my prowler btw - if you ever get the chance to try it, you need to.

Love the walking lunge vid. Are YOU loving them yet?
What’s up with the old car in your garage? Just curious.
Well I my workout cave is my car garage & I still have one of our “old” vehicles in there. It’s a 1964 buick lesabre - 2 door. It’s pretty sweet!
Um I’m not quite loving them yet but they are getting tolerable and bearable!
Bit of a catch for ya all… I trained Saturday - Monday last week at a so called “gym” in Spokane. It was a pathetic gym but I managed to get a decent workout in, went and saw the musical “Cats” with my kids and hubby, it was good. I caught up with some family and had a good time in general.
I did not train Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Didn’t even think about it, just busted my ass catching up on the work that got neglected while I was gone for 4 days.
Okay so today I did the following & it felt great.
A1. speed bench 6 sets of 95lbs x 3
B1. BB Chest supported Row
115lbs x 6
115lbs x 6
125lbs x 6
B2. Push Press

E1. BW Dips
1 x 25 not sure if this is a PR for me or not but it is the most I remember doing! Nice!
