Yea Puff getting back at it for sure. The band technique is showing me more progress than anything else i have tried, I have tried a bunch of stuff too. Burpees are good for the sould, well at least that is what I am telling myself :wink:

5 a.m workout

Bench

Bench felt strong, I could have got 145 but not sure if I would have gotten all 5 reps, guess I should have gone for it but I will next time.

Pullups 4 x 5 bw
These are still feeling a bit fatigued, usually after a week off I feel like i could throw myself over the top of the bar but not feelin it today. Still though they felt good just not as forceful as normal.

elevated feet pushup 3 x 10

Horizontal rows 3 x 10

rev fly 3 x 10

hammer curls 25lbs 3 x 8

ab rollout 3 x 8

finished with 5 minutes of pushin the prowler around.

Prowler is def… in need of much respect. I wanted to give it 10 minutes of my time but I just ran short of that this morning.

how about you pull before you push??

also wanted to mention that I just ordered a ‘band,’ from the site you linked to…I got the 3" one thinking that would work better since I’m bigger?

Too funny re: you and the hubby. My guy and I are the same way, we simply CANNOT play nice together. Every once in a while we’ll play a soccer game together and it always ends up ugly.

I just checked out the site again, I guess they changed it from being able to order idividual bands and having to order a box… They are letting you return it, right??
I can’t see that you can buy em individually anywhere, I ordered mine about 3 yrs ago. I’m sorry for the screw up!!

Okay I was totally laid up in bed & on the couch yesterday. Todays workout is my sunday workout, i am still only 75% maybe, can’t really be sure. I know my back is thrashed thus the weak back work, I really felt lucky to just be able to do some pullups today. I really concentrated on form and hitting the back with the rows though, not hard today when everything hurt. Let me see what else to report, not much really. Just happy that I managed to crawl out of the house today and be kind of productive. We will see how much I pay for today come tomorrow.

Q- When you all do Close grip bench, how close are your hands?? Touching or not quite, what is the acceptable distance for this??

You’re close-gripping 145?! Wow. And sick, no less! (Make sure you don’t make yourself worse by not resting enough!) I have to admit, I never do CG on the bench. I naturally gravitate to a wider-than-normal grip, so I usually just stick with that. Although I always thought CG left a few inches in between the hands, but obviously I’m not speaking from experience. My philosophy on that sort of thing is usually whatever feels better anyway. :slight_smile: Aka, I am useless to you. haha

I was wondering what was considered a close grip myself since when I bench press at home, my width is just within shoulder width…which feels close enough for me!!

close grip is probably considered anything within shoulder width. Are you doing it as a triceps movement?

Are you serious? You CG with thumbs touching for that weight??? I wondered about that but never asked. Holy crap! Your bench is way stronger than mine but OMG! I CG thumbs together. Not sure what my max is, but I think I repped 70 for a GVT session a week or so ago. That would put my 1RM around 100 and honestly that’s probably pushing it. I’m floored. You ARE one strong cowgirl.

Veg- Yea I have the tips of my thumbs touching when I do the close grip that way I am consistantly getting the same distance. Maybe next week I will get em closer and see how I do then.

Lanels- you are far from useless, input is good either way.

MiM- It’s in the program I am doing, so I am assume it is to target the tris and chest at the same time. Since there is no other tri specific movement in the program.
