I wwas planning to take today off but I could not stand it anymore!! So I had food yesterday & was ready to hit it again. 2 FINiBARs & out the door I went
Decided to start back on the 5/3/1 again & am planning on getting back to eating again. I got my weight back to where I want so back to the norm. All in all I lost 9lbs, I couldn’t find my camera - so no pics for this attempt. Okay any where todays workout went like this

Strict on the presses today. Felt solid & fairly easy, which is always a great feeling. Played on the trampoline with the kids when i was done for about 30 minutes, it was fun I haven’t giggled that much in a long time Great times!
As soon as I find the stupid thing I will take some pics for sure. I am currently mumbling at my kids to help in the search of the dang thing.

All in all very nice workout today, felt good to do some pulling. My grip & forearms are still telling me about the db rows with the fat gripz - my left hand is the non-dominant hand - thus it set the standard for the rows. Hard to feel like you are doing much good with the rows when all you can think about is how sucky your grip is and how much your forearm wants to explode. Okay planning on getting another 20-30 minutes in of rucking… so that is on tap for later.
Oh, I’m with ya on the DB row dilemma. Been working on my grip too. I know that I could do loads more rows and murder my lats if I wore straps. But the point is to improve my grip.
How do you like the fat gripz? My hands are tiny and I’ve never used anything like that. Not sure if they would work for me. What is the diameter of the DB handle when you put 'em on?
I can’t touch my fingers to thumb when I have them on - it completely changes the exercise, totally a 100%. They are worth purchase though - it is like using a fat bar, but way cheaper.
I think that they are worth it though. You would just need to make sure you were hitting your lats the way you want too on another day & to be honest my lats are sore today from my workout yesterday. I think I just didn’t realize that I was activating my lats that much cause I could not get my brain past my screaming forarms
I dont use em nearly enough though, not like I should. But there are lot of things like that aren’t there?

I’ve gotta try to contact the company as they don’t have an option to ship overseas. Silly, really. Definitely want a couple of sets of them, though.
Holy buckets batman, that will wear a girl out. Always feel great when I am done though. I did do 30 minutes yesterday afternoon also. Just forgot to update things.
Puff- I think over a longer stretch I would/could lose some strength but not in a week - but keep in mind that is my personal opinion on the matter. Thanks

Trying to keep it simple and productive today. I felt pretty spent by the time I was done but not so much that I came home and took a nap on the floor, like I did on Monday after my deadlift day Benching seems to be a strong suit for me, I really have mades some stellar progress at it and am very happy with it. That being said, I can’t say that I really enjoy it or that it is one of my favorite things to do. Kind of strange but I ain’t gonna over think this here. Dang this stupid spring forward crap has me and the kids all messed up… and about the time I adjust to it they will be falling back. UGH I hate this.
I know! my early bird of a daughter is now sleeping until 730 and I have to wake her up…she’s such a grumpy bear that way and puts her in a bad mood for the rest of the day :rollseyes:
If I put her to bed at 630, the sun is still up and its weird, lol…
