Bush's War On Porn!

Probably because if you could leave for free, they’d be nobody left.

What am I wrong about? You still haven’t informed me of what is so wrong that I need to admit to being wrong about.

The question was: "When was the last time you admitted to being wrong (regarding an issue of substance).

Your answer so far has been to sidestep and dodge the issue. Which I might add is how you try attempt to handle most issues where you have been cornered.

You might ask yourself this: why is it that other people (than myself) seem to want an answer to this same question?
Why answer a dumbass question like that? If I am wrong, I will admit it. If I haven’t been wrong in a while, praise be to God and may the good times roll. What the hell is your problem? I should be wrong every once in a while just to make you feel better? Fine, I’ll start now.

“I think Zeb is highly intelligent and that he sticks to topics in a thread without going off on any tangents or engaging in any personal insults.”

WHOOPS!!!

That was a doozy. I admit, I was wrong in making that statement. I’m sorry. Do you forgive me?

He wasn’t saying being fat and unmotivated was a liberal problem, only that it’s not as one sided as Pookie was making it out to be. He was simply shedding light on the fact that the liberal mindset of no personal responsibility is also a factor in fat america. Wait wait, I see now, you are right again! By Thunder shedding light on more of the problem instead of trying to help you all focus on a small part of it he was being a frothy neo-con puppet. How could I have been so blind.
Yep - exactly. Pookie was spewing forth all kinds of stereotyping, and while it was in good humor, I was making a point that the real epidemic of obesity is not a simple, one-sided problem, as Pookie’s posts implied.

But Pro X has shown - yet again - he can’t follow the bouncing ball.
Professor X wrote:

Still dodging the question I see. Do you still wonder why people ask the question?

Um, no you won’t. If you think that you have never been wrong on the political thread then you are very much mistaken. The fact is you won’t admit when you are wrong.

You are the one with the problem! Everyone makes mistakes, men admit when they do and egotistical blowhards avoid admitting them.

As I have already correctly pointed out you will never admit an error on the political threads.
Professor X wrote:

Why would he do that instead of simply saying this is a problem in all of society? Do you get the point now? Liberals believe that no personal responsibility falls on them? Do tell. Who has made this statement?
Because, I was offering a counterpoint to what Pookie was offering. I replied that there were more drivers of obesity than the simplistic one Pookie was offering, even one that comes from his school of thinking. Thus, my point was that the problem was much more complicated than his cartoon.

As for liberalism and personal responsibility, get educated on political correctness. No one is suggesting that liberalism advocates absolutely no personal responsibility, but the general soft-left approach is one of relativism in social situations like this and a general adherence to telling people what they want to hear rather than telling them the truth, for fear of bruising their self-esteem.

Check out the links i just posted, they give some funnny clips from dubya!

You’re right that obesity is not a simple one-sided problem. Most Americans are fat in both ass cheeks, making it a rather “Fair and Balanced” problem. If it wasn’t, they’d probably fall on one side or walk in little circles. God knows that already happens enough when they get stuck in revolving doors.

If you drive a McDonald’s delivery truck, is that your job title?

Or is it a club Tiger Woods will be using when he’s 350?

Pookie,

In truth, it’s kinda funny.

But I am usually underwhelmed at attempted displays of Canadian pride and smack talk.

Kinda like being proud that you are the tallest of the midgets.

Veg (& Thunder),

You guys are just spewing the party line about liberals. Sure, people that espouse the ideas you are talking about are probably liberal, but there is a wide array of liberal viewpoints.

Welfare is an OLD idea. The concept of a social safety net is a good one, but the implementation has a lot of weaknesses. Liberals don’t want to encourage reliance or a lack of personal responsibility, but some systems in place have that as an unfortunate side effect.

I’m sure ways should be found to fix whatever major problems there are, instead of arguing about whether or not liberals are soft or other stupid characterizations.

It is in your own best interest, economically, to find a way to encourage people that aren’t an active part of the economy to get involved, or to get reinvolved during or after a downturn. The whole pie grows when everyone is contributing.

That, right there, is a very good reason to find unflawed ways to provide a social safety net without the flaws inherent in current systems. It has nothing to do with being soft or against personal responsibility or anything else.

Personal responsibility is not a panacea, but it is something that certainly resonates as a concept… making it very easy to blame those in hardship for getting themselves there because they didn’t do enough to get out of there.

Instead of washing your hands of these issues, it would be nice if conservatives would recognize the drain, either directly or indirectly, that these types of situations cause and look for appropriate ways to get people back out of them without creating huge government waste mechanisms.

Howabout digging past the party line rhetoric and getting into the heart of the details of the issue so that better solutions can be found – that help everyone, left or right, by helping the economy as a whole. After all, everyone will agree that a healthy economy is a very powerful tool in the world arena.

Wow, look, a liberal idea based on coming up with an advantage in international affairs due to an increased ability to maintain a healthy and stable economy. How horribly soft-hearted and against personal responsibility that is.

Wake up. The buzzword mischaracterizations are just ways to criticize liberal viewpoints via slander. Many existing systems, liberal or otherwise, have a lot of flaws. The liberal and conservative viewpoints flaws can both be addressed, they don’t have to be at the exclusion of each other.

Life and politics don’t have to be zero sum games.

New Jersey??

What about the Pineys?

Ok, so I’m gunna do something about this war…I’m starting a Porn Army. The goal of my army is to fight all things anti-porn and spread porn to all people on earth.

Bush now has someone to battle with and I really don’t see how my Porn Army can lose.

I’m currently taking recruits, join now…We WANT YOU!

If you guys haven’t figured it out yet, I’ll break it down to you. Bush is simply playing the numbers game. This is the same game we all play when we go to the bar, or wherever, to meet chicks. The more chicks you talk to the better the chance of taking one home…

Well, in the case of “W”, he’s thinking “sooner or later I’m going to win one of these wars, it’s a matter of odds. There’s the War on drugs, poverty, terror, Iraq, and now porn. Come on, I’ve got to win one sooner or later.”

What’s next a War on 4th graders? A war that he may even be able to win.

Boycott the “War on Porn”, Join the Porn Army!

failed to mention all the programs and excessive spending that has spawned since the part time worker and part time soldier took office. The only reason politics suck is because of the politicians who have never had to work for a living.

I don’t see all that much actual canadian smack-talk. Pookie’s just being a clown, and the best way to do that is to pick on somebody who’s going to lose their cool. Americans usually fall into that category when you start to make fun of them. He’s the only one in the American vs Canadian side of the thread who’s joking, why does everybody take him and themselves so seriously?

And I can’t remember who posted all that about saying ay, but you spell it “eh”.

How about we all simmer down and laugh when somebody makes a funny, eh?

I will volunteer to be in your porn army. I am a porn Warrior.

I will fight to the bitter end to keep porn alive and downloaded freely off the internet.

I am the elite of the elite. I am well equipped to handle all forms of porn.
(except gay porn male on male. Cant handle that. But lesbian porn I can handle.)

My wife will also pledge her alegiance to the porn army.

Because like I said in my other post, that is where me and my wife get all our cool stuff to do to each other.

Goku,Porn commander.
