speaking of the bodybuilding forum. i love reading that shit. that forum as a whole equates to a caddy school girl scuffle. i love the “call’n you out” threads.
What is ‘call’n you out’? Do they want a video of a lift? Or kick someones ass?[/quote]
they apparently want these folks to prove that they’ve made progress… i guess. meanwhile most of the posters there have probably never even been to a bodybuilding competition much less competed in one. i guess most bodybuilders don’t compete. IMO, you can only call yourself a bodybuilder if you actually compete in bodybuilding. otherwise, you are just another dude that works out using the Hammmerzzzzzz Strength machines.
the call you out shit is the best,
But I cant deal with that forum as a whole
that and the T-cell
cant do it.
there are a few dedicated and strong types there
but its pretty lame.
Combat sports is OK it has some serious dudes training-
people that figt/box or roll pretty seriously
but the majority of the posts
are my kung fu can kill
and did you see the latests UFC?
and Bunny are you OK?

i have one better- “guess which bodypart this is” i would take a close up of a random bodypart and then everyone would have to guess what it is. that would be silly, sassy and beautiful.

I’m sure many partially blind women would enjoy our photos.

We could get a cult following of partially blind women with low expectations.
Just give a brother a warning with the random body part pic thread.
its allot of hair to sort through.

lol! Holy shit guys… you having a party in here in my absence?! OK, just clean up after your done and make sure everyone you bring in here is at least of legal age… sheesh! Oh… and don’t forget the pics, lol!
I have been tied up at work, a lot of shit goin’ on, but that is another story… I got a few days off now so time to relax at home but bust my hump in the gym.
I was feeling a little run down, so took my usual “Squat/ Accessory” day off (JULY 8TH)… but got some PR’s with my “NON deadlift” training (JULY 6TH). Did this session at the gym at work…
JULY 6 (NON) DEADLIDFT TRAINING
ZERCHER SQUATS
bar x warmup
135x10
225x5
315x3
405x1
(belt on)
505x1 (PR)
405x3
GOOD MORNINGS
135x10
225x5
315x4
(belt on)
415 x 3 sets of 3 (PR weight and reps)
SHRUGS
225x12
315x8
405x8
495x5
585x1
LOCKOUTS (ABOVE KNEE) AND HOLDS
585x1 and static hold (with straps)
645x1 " "
715x1 " "
(without straps)
600x1 to failure
495x1 to failure
405x1 to failure
315x1 to failure
each set above switching up alternate grip, hands pretty torn up after this… ![]()
I then decided to test the lat… lightly, just to have a look-see…
KROC ROWS
70x10 (no pain)
90 x 3 sets of 10
lat feels not too bad, a little stiff on the stretch portion, but not too bad. One more week, I will test 'er out. Gonna go see the RMT dude on days off for another session.
HYPEREXTENSIONS
3 sets for a bunch
PLATE PINCHES
screwed around with these for a bit, different weights and thicknesses etc.
Bench tomorrow… even though I suck and am weak and should really think about switching to bodybuilding ;P.
I think posting something in the BB site would be hilarious… however, that would open the door for them to enter our realm and start screwing around as well. And I don’t have the energy/ money nor the time to travel around the planet and systematically execute all of the assholes that piss me off. Hypothetically speaking, of course…

Whew, he’s back.
I agree, we don’t really want to let any of the little twirps from the BB section to realize we have this haven. Also, I hope you know I meant no offense regarding your bench. I am actually working with a sometime training partner, Anthony the Giant, who has your arm length issues. I am going to run some experiments on him, and will report back.
Nice work on the Zerchers and GMs.

Thanks Pete… no offense taken, I am just frustrated as hell with my bench.
Anthony the Giant… how tall is he and what is his wingspan… for comparison, I am 6-3 but my wingspan is approx. 78-80 inches… my knuckles almost scrape the ground.

Add three inches and comparable arm length.
Was just thinking of who are good benchers with similar leverages? Brad Gillingham came to mind. So I googled ‘Brad Gillingham Bench Routine’ and this came up:
Fairly straight forward. And just a thought.

Here’s another one by Wade Gillingham. I don’t know if he’s comparable size wise or not.

Hey Rugger, I saw that one too. Wade, I believe, is a tad shorter, but also has been much more involved with strongman training. Not to say that he is not a beast, and that program is lacking any merrits. Talk about a bunch of blessed bastards as far as the gene pool goes. And nice fellas, or at least I know Brad is. He will show up to coach the Jackal crew at the USAPL meets, and also spend time just saying hello to everyone.
And he is creating some real beasts. I saw Krogman squat 700 and pull 750 raw last year. Set the bar kinda high for raw totals for the state with the USAPL finally recognizing raw. It was amazing and the kid is like 23? FML. Wish I had that direction and training at that age.
Hey Pete/ Rugger! Thanks for the links, they look real interesting. I wish I had found them 3 months ago, damn! I will probably give it a go after the competition, as I only have 3 weeks left to get ready.
I have decided to stick with it, regardless of the outcome at this meet. I am also thinking of doing some strongman stuff as well, more to follow on that later.

Had to laugh… surfin’ “Youtube” and this was a quote from Jim Wendler on his video site from today…

5/3/1 is all about simplicity. Get rid of all excess in life. The more you own, the more that owns you. Strip yourself of all things, of all the fat, and leave nothing but brain, muscles and cock. That is life.
Gotta love this guy.
Damn… I’m being simple…
Spent the day yesterday moving stuff out of the basement and the garage as the bride decided to have an “impromptu yard sale”. This of course, after I never got to bed until around 3 am from UFC the night before… which was a pretty damn good show I might add.
So, with a solid 3 hours sleep I had the pleasure of dealing with some interesting people, in the heat and the humidity. Now I know why I never took up a career in public relations… heheheheh. Had a good time, and the wifey made some money… and more importantly, I got rid of some junk.
My eldest son and I went and seen “The Hangover” last night. Almost pissed myself laughing, what a great movie! Looks like another nice day up here today, gonna run some errands then go test my deadlift (and the lat) and do some training.

The worst part about yard sales is moving all the crap back in after nobody wanted it! However I’m sure you make a good salesman, “It’s $2.50, not $2.00. Now buy it.” Says Bunny as he stands over the old lady with his arms folded and a scowl on his face.
The UFC was good Saturday night.
GSP: “I pulled my groin.”
Jackson: “I don’t care. Hit him with it.” My favourite line of the night.
