I give this movie “2 thumbs up”. On another note… Clint cannot sing… horrible. Mind you, if I had a dozen beer and some J.D., I would listen to him… just because it’s him.

Clint singing. Watch “Paint your Wagon” with Clint and Lee Marvin singing…Thats ugly!! They can’t carry a tune in a bucket.

The best part of the movie is when the preacher, mid-sermon, disappears into the pit and is met by a drunken and filthy Lee Marvin, who takes a big swig and says “Welcome to Hell, Reverend!”

OK… I gotta see this one…

K… I am hammed. Just got home, 15 Budweiser, 2 burgers, 2 sausages, couple of chicken breasts, shit load of salads all gone down range. Then, for dessert… angel foodcake with blueberry and apple sauce, carrot cake and some other cookie things… no idea what they were… but they were good. Then, a couple shots of Jack.

Had a good time… havin’ hard time typing. Did not bench today like I said I was gonna, but did a shitload of GPP… cuttin’ grass and washin’ cars.

GFoin’ to bed… peace out…/;

speaking of movies-

i saw the Hangover last night. now this is a fucking funny movie. definitely one of the funniest i’ve ever seen. i about pissed myself.

i’m guessing you may have a hangover this morning. I had my share of capt. and cokes last night. getting ready to hit the gym to do some pull’n.

later.

Arrrgh… ugh. Feel like I have been ridden hard and put away wet this morning. Bench later this afternoon. Bleccchhh

Are you cutting or bulking??? It would be interesting to total up the calories of that snack of yours.

TNT

So you really didn’t mean all those things you wrote me in that IM? You don’t remember the IM? Tease.

On the topic of Gran Torino, I just finished watching it. I appreciate the recommendation. I loved it.

My favourite line amongst a shit ton of great lines was “I’ll take that as a yes. If I have to come back here, it’s gonna get fuckin’ ugly”.

Bunny, I hope your head is okay and bench went well.

O

I will be very interested to see how bench went today. 225 for 3 then out of the gym?

God bless my father, he supported all of my endeavors to the utmost. He even started training with me when I got the bug going early in life. One Saturday morning, after I had been out rather late, he got me up to go benchin’. I think I was 16? 17? We went to Gold’s, and needless to say he thought it was very funny when I went off to puke out Mickey’s Big Mouths after my third set. He was sending a message:)

I loved the quote… “You ever met someone that you should never have fucked with… well, that would be me”.

Surprisingly, my head was not too bad Sunday morning, but my body and stomach was another story. You would think I would have learned after all these years, especially after behaving myself for the last couple of months. Oh well, got it out of system… at least until after the meet anyhow… then I’m gonna show those tree huggin’, granola eatin’, beaver kissin’, bark salad eatin’ Columbians how to party… ZZZzzzzzz… lol!

My caloric intake from last night? HA! I don’t even want to try and figure it out. But I can tell you this… everytime my elbow bent, my mouth opened. Strange reflex. Out of curiosity… 20 Budweiser that I drank x 86 calories each (according to the 'net)= 1720 calories… in beer alone. Then throw in the food… snacks… liquor… desserts… more snackie thingies… and that is just what I remember.

I am sure there were some small furry animals and unattended children as well, lol!

So, finally got my ass in gear later in the afternoon, and headed to the gym for glorious bench day. Yay.

JUNE 28TH M.E. BENCH

3 BOARD BENCH
(full r.o.m.)
bar x 1000000000000
135 x 2 sets of 10
225x5
275x3
315x1
(boards)
355x3
355x3
355x2

FLAT BENCH (full r.o.m. paused)
295x5 (tried for 6 reps… 5th rep glued to my chest after pause)

PIN PRESS
445 x 3 sets of 3

CLOSE GRIP BENCH WITH BANDS
I twisted the bands to shorten and tighten them and make the movement much more difficult. Must punish myself for my behaviour. Ouch
(feet off the floor)
245x6
245x4
245x4

ROLLING DUMBELL EXTENSIONS
50x7
50x6
50x6

PUSHUPS (on elevated handles thingies)
3 sets to failure with partials and negatives thrown in.

*Pretty good session, I think I sweated out most of the poisons. My triceps were pretty fried after the pin presses and the close grip bench.

I think I am going to move down to heavy triples and doubles for the last couple of bench sessions… and perhaps start moving down from 3 boards to 2 boards and eventually 1 board before testing and the comp. I will check with the “Boss”, see what he thinks.

5 weeks out… getting excited now. Just gotta be patient with this upper lat thing, let it heal… and hopefully get a couple of pull straight d/l workouts in before the comp.

Nice work for being hung over.

Thanks Pete… as usual, felt better afterwards… it’s just gettin’ goin’, I am sure you know what I am talkin’ 'bout.

Went into work last night for some overtime… ended up 8 hours on my feet, killer on the lower back when 100 freakin’ degrees and wearin’ extra 40 pounds of gear.

Deadlift training today… should be fun. I am not pulling though, so will adapt and overcome. Gotta let this lat heal.

Bunny

you did pretty good for someone with a hangover
Nice work.

I fully understand. Actually, those can be the sessions where, at the end, you almost want to start over again because then you feel good.

JUNE 30TH DEADLIFT TRAINING

Kinda funny calling this deadlift training, when I am doing everything but deadlifting…

GOOD MORNINGS
bar x warmup
135x10
225x3
315x3
365x3
405 x 3 sets of 3

ZERCHER SQUATS
135x5
315x3
405x1
455 x 5 singles (60-90 secs between reps)

BARBELL SHRUGS
135x20
225x10
315x8
405x8
(straps)
495x5
545x3
585x3
(just to shock the CNS)
675 x lock out- hold to failure
765 x lock out- hold to failure
(burn set)
405 x to failure

GRIP TRAINING- BAR HOLDS SUPERSETTED WITH PLATE PINCHES
405 x to failure x 2 (switch grip) with plate pinches each hand in between
495 x to failure x 2 (switch grip) with plate pinches " "

Tried some light pulldowns and Kroc rows around here, still some pain and tightness, so put this thought to rest.

BICEPS
d.b. curls 30-40-50-60-65’s for a bunch
d.b. hammer curls 50’s to failure

**Feeling this today in the posterior chain, I am still worried about not actually deadlifting but I am hoping the increased squats training and this routine will stop me from losing strength in the movement. Gonna give it another week or 2 of not deadlifting and see how the lat feels. Have an appointment in an hour with the RMT dude… pain is good.

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canuckians and our great neighbours to the south, as well as from around the globe!

Nice work Bunny. Remember in the classic Westside template you almost never deadlift. And those are some strong mofos. And happy Canada day to you.

Between the GMs and the zerchers, I’ll think you’ll be O.K.

Thanks Pete, DCA… certainly feel like I usually do after a heavy deadlift session.

I have to agree with DCA, with the numbers on the GM and Zerchers its like deadlift…a horse. Good work.

Happy canada day,
you just zerchered a small cow.

We had some reports of seismic waves originating out of Ontario coinciding with your workout… You’re spookin’ the sheep!

Nice freakin’ lifting bunnydude.
