He’s just seeing how well you follow directions. Well done, you passed the test!

The same can be said for my computer skills.

*Felt good getting back in. Was supposed to do deadlifts today, got a call from the Kabaddi team coach, they were playing their end of season tournament today… had some guys injured so he begged me to come out and play… as a “raider”.

So, I did… despite doing little to no cardio for the last 5-6 months. I was only stopped once in the entire game… and that was because I was too damn tired (and old and fat) to fight anymore. Had a great time… got lots of scrapes, scratches and bruises… but no major damages so training will not be effected I think. I know I will be sore as hell tomorrow though. I know those that tried to stop me will be too

I was gonna tell them that today was my last game… but they are scheduled to go to Fresno, California in September to play in a tournament… and then scheduled to go to India in January 2010. So, I have to think about this… I would love to go to both places… especially if all expenses are paid

Got a promotion at work as well… means extra work, (extra $$$ too though) but I think I will enjoy it.

Oh… an I will deadlift tomorrow. After I cut the grass. Start midnight shift tomorrow night too. Yay. Not.

promotions ,free trips , deadlifts and mowing the grass???

sounds like a good week

kmc

Thanks KM… feeling it today… man I am sore!

congrats on the promotion. “we love you” stuff like that is always nice, especially when accompanied by more cash. Oh yeah, its cool that you do that Indian version of Smear the Kwear (i guess)…

Nice bench session, and congrats on the promo. Those are hard to find these days.

Thanks guys. MJ, you are too damn funny.

Bunny, I just bought a 100lb hand gripper thingy. Didn’t you get one of these awhile back?? Which one did you get and did it help your grip??

yeah, I did… it is made by “Captains of Crush”… I got the #1, which is one above the trainer. It works great, I think I am gonna ask Santa for the #2 for Christmas.

If I did not get a chance to work grip, I would take it in the car during my commute and get the training in during that time. It also stopped me from several incidents of road rage as well… very theraputic…

Congrats on the promotion and the game. Hope you get some (free) traveling out of the Kabaddi. Got to admit MJ actually made me lol (I think that’s the first time I’ve ever used that abbreviation. I feel so hip)

Harry rules the interwebz

ok… so this has been a longer layoff than I would have liked. Not that it was intentional, just so damn busy with life in general, new job position, family stuff, house stuff etc… plus I think I am still recovering from the extra-curricular crap (Kabaddi).

Got a phonecall from a buddy from my hockey team asking me to come out and play again this year at the start of September… I don’t know if I will. I really want to devote myself to to lifting and increasing my cardio capacity/ GPP work.

I am still ot sure what kind of program I am gonna start with. Smolov? 5/3/1? Westside? Just make something up? I just dunno…

Regarding programs, pick one, and believe in it 100%, and stick with it 6 months minimum, otherwise you never know if it will work. As far as Smolov goes, I might try that one day, but damn it looks brutal.

Man… this midnight shift crap in the new position sucks. I gotta sort my schedule out different now me thinks…

ouch. the midnight shift sucks no matter what. but, hey, enjoy the freak show. The freaks come out at night.

That’s great advice. As for choosing, you can always go the scientific route of pulling one out of a hat.

I am leaning towards the 5/3/1 program after some nosing around a bit. It is very similar to the program I have been using and that Meat has set up for me in the past…

I am just too damn cheap to spend $20 on the e-book, lol!

Unlike the rest of us who try to avoid them, Bunny gets to dance with them. My sympathies.
