But, in his defense, when I read articles I look at the author and decide if I think they know what they’re talking about by the way they look.
Maybe his goals are just a little different than yours. He still looks to you for guidance. So what if wants to be, dare I say it, a bodybuilder. Beats dopehead everytime! Besides, he still has a lot of ladies to impress. So take it easy on him, he is young. The world takes that away very quickly these days.

Some mobility work

Seated BTN Press: Have not done these in awhile, was VERY conservative and only did 135 X 12
Bent rows: 2 X 6-8 @ SW
Pull downs Reverse grip : 2 x 8-10@ SW
Bent Flyes: 2 x 10-12@SW
Alt DB Curls: 2 X 10-12 @ SW
Standing Band Crunches: 4 x 10

Thank GOD!!! My right Piriformis muscle is finally starting calm down ( knock on wood). What a pain in the ASS its been ( yes pun was intentional). I just hope I can lay Flat on the Bench Tuesday without having to put blocks under my feet again.

Im thinking after doing this Meet spending some time away from the approach Ive been using for TOO long. Thinking of giving Conjugate method a try again … Which I tried a long time ago and didnt have a good handle on the proper feel for the base principles behind it at the time. Bounced the idea off my acquaintance whom has some experience since he done some training over at Westside so he has a decent grasp of the approach. His suggestion is to run the method in the offseason …

Squat and pull session:

Not going into allot of details… Mid way through In body just shut down as if something was wrong. I actually felt physically ill,

A few weeks to go and my attitude is im just going into this Meet and just have a little fun and get my feet wet again and go from there.

Like I posted before… Im just really detrained and my actual GPP is CRAP for Heavy Training.

Your son is a beast. And I think the word “swole” is stupid AF, but he pretty much is.

As for felling like shit for no apparent reason… I think there’s something about the mid-40s where that just becomes a thing. All of a sudden you have a crappy series of days out of nowhere and then it goes away.

Just a thought.
