If I had a home gym I would think bar hard about that bar
as it is I am finding trap bar work better then conventional deads

BSS will kick anyone’s ass[/quote]

  • are you talking about the press bar

  • Anymore as I grow older and wiser Im starting too feel that a large % of people probably should look at doing trap bar deads. Unless they are doing powerlifting which is a no brainier.

  • Yeah BSS are going to get some taking use to on my end.

Bent rows: (press bar) bunch of reps and sets…Messed around with this for fun i will say it differently worked things differently.

Curls and push downs (super set) 5 x 10 x Sw

Decided to allow the shoulder to calm down 100% so i decided to skip any pressing for the week. Have a feeling the shoulder will be good to go next week.

If you get the hang of Bulgarian Split Squats let me know how you did it. I always felt like I was about to lose my balance and fall doing them with any kind of weight at all.

Yeah I will let you know… Im having the same problem at this point either its a coordination issue or due to weak stabilizers take your pick.

Hope the shoulder cooperates.
Being full speed is nice, and seems to be more difficult the older we get.

Thats no lie there… Actually in my case the joint irritation might be due to a issue reading in my most resent blood panel. Which i dont want to get into on a public forum at this point. For the record its not serious nor life threatening.

Bunch oh mobility work for my hip.

Squat: worked up to 85% x 1
5 x 5 x 60% … yippy easy as hell with allot of pop and little to no hip irritation.
Stiff legs: 5 x 10 x SW
Hip abduction with band: 3 x 20

Treadmill 41 minutes

Happy happy joy joy… hips improving and im adjusting to the conditioning I assume .

Ill be damned nice to see someone I know personally being mentioned in a article…
https://www.T-Nation.com/training/secret-deadlift-mindset

Good to see enjoying improvement with your hips and squatting. That is a pretty cool dead article. I have been an acquaintance of Mike Turscherer(sp) and lifted with him in a couple of contests, he’s very strong.

He was at the last meet I attended where I handled a lifter a few weeks ago. He was handling a lifter as well. We chatted awhile. He’s really a legend and now lives in my neck of the woods.

But I think Bulldog is referring to Jeremy?

Correct…Jeremy it would be

Press bar bench: 2 x 20 x bar
95 x 10
135 x 5
160 x 4
190 x 3
235 x 2
270 x 1
245 x 8… left a few in the tank
245 x 4 ,50% set

** did some band pull aparts between a few sets.

Bent rows 5 x 10 x SW

Shoulder shockers 2 sets
Hammer curls with press bar: 5 x 10 x SW

Ehh still getting use too the new bar, still havent gotten use to the grip. Was able to press it with no shoulder discomfort. I have to say the shoulder gets angry at me from time to time even with the slight changes Ive made trying to make it happy. Which is pissing me off… luckily I can say from experience its not injured . All in alll the session kicked my ass because im running on fumes at the moment.

nothing new really …switching over to kettle bell swings for conditioning

Look at those boys!

Much like my son, thankfully your boys get their looks from their mother.

HAY HOLD ON!!! IM a SEXY BEAST!!!

After mine and the Pups Session got a wild hair and had him take a pick with his I pod of me. What can I say the inner Bodybuilder came out …LOL. As to date down 28 lbs since I started this conditioning phase. Probably push it and see if I can lean up another 20 before I focus on a hypertrophy Phase.

Definitely thinning down! Chest and arms don’t seem to have suffered at all.

Your boys aren’t looking quite so boyish anymore. Keeping lifting! lol

Havent lost as much lean mass as I expected. Strength way down but that I believe is due to the low level of carb intake.
