Why are our women always trying to make us buy things we don’t need!?!?
I said the same thing to my wife about our toaster oven. We don’t need a new one at all even though it’s a bit old. Still crisps my toast up just right!
Funny part is, on certain things I am telling my wife she needs to get herself some new things.Honestly, the only purchasing urge I have is buying new equipment for my gym.
I’m too cheap even for that lol. I think for the rest of my life all I’ll ever have at the home gym is a squat stand, barbell, bumpers, pull up bar, and a jump rope.
It’s not that I don’t like spending money, but I’d rather spend on experiences than things. It always comes down to want vs need.
Many years ago, I quit a steady, good paying job to get my dream career. Well, it took many years and didn’t work out quite like I’d hoped and now I have a stinking file clerk job just to put food on the table. But I’m glad I did it.
Looking strong BD. Like you my youngest son has a 3.9 and I think my oldest may be with with us until he’s 40. But that’s ok because I have an in law apartment and they can’t live forever.
I’m the complete opposite. If I could do it, I’d seclude myself in the Georgia mountains and stay at home all day training and living off my own shit. I find myself watching old mitchelltom videos on YouTube and living vicariously through him. It’ll never happen mind you, (wife is a graphic designer and loves semi-city life) but I still dream.
Bench: Top set of 385 x 1
3x5@ 335 … All sets easy off chest . But for some reason could not maintain proper set up. Bar kept getting out of the groove.

Well I only have 3 more Heavy sessions on this routine. When I do rerun it I will probably tweak it and a deload at certain points.
One of the core principles that is one of the corner stones in my lifting is K.I.S.S KEEP IT SIMPLESTUPID!!! I feel over complex routines are redundant and in most cases for most people unnecessary from my own experience.
With the over abundant of information thanks to the internet I notice is what tends to happen when people obtain more information in training and nutrition; they can sabotage themselves from reaching their original goal. Instead of improving things and speeding up the process they tend to lose sight of what works, instead they obsess over the new and the exciting. Or they become too overloaded with too much information with most of it being fluff or bullshit. That they end over-analyzing everything instead of just putting their all into what they need to do and end up questioning everything and spinning their wheels.
Trap Bar Deads: after my top work set put on my big boy panties and worked up to 565 x 3 Seated cable rows: 30 x 3 @ SW TR 36… felt like a change Kettle swings: 3 x 15 @ SW Standing Band crunches: 5 x 10
