415 x 1
440 x 1
Pause squats: 2 x 5 x 325

Heavy Band crunches: 5 x 10

Well Im done with the twice a week squat sessions. About two sessions to go before I take a week off or so and start my peaking cycle.

Some good squat volume and nice pause squats. The 400 for 15 were great.

Warm up: light band movements

315 x 10

Had to take a last minute trip to Kansas last week due to a family emergency. Pretty much wore me out along with picking up a slight bug while I was there. Pretty much skipped my secondary stuff. This was my last Bench session before I get down and dirty on my peaking cycle which I will start after I take a week off from training.

if I dont get my ass in the gym Pup i going to be out lifting me in 6 months… Im guessing he will be out lifting me in a year regardless but I think I will try to keep him at bay for awhile.

Honestly , I think you might be right. Im even starting to be surprised at the rate he is starting to gain.

Im not… hes lifting in spurts with you and when hes not he is keeping what you built lifting at the school. its like constant newbie gains except I think he may have some good genetics going on and well puberty can hurt

I dont know if I told you but Dakota is doing the Meet in June.

For the sake of my own Sanity… I will never venture or comment on another forum post outside of the Over 35 again on this site

I will occasionally post in the powerlifting forum but other than that I’m with you it isn’t worth the frustration. Lots of internet lifting experts who I’m pretty sure can’t bench 225 on their best day.

Pretty much my feeling anymore… Not to mention the whole ego trip thing. Some guys seem to rather be admired for what they know( I use that term loosely) then what they have actually achieved.

Good lifting by the pup!

This place is like any gym… mostly full of douchebags and hot air.

Wise decision.

I rarely comment outside now, but sometimes lapse and then immediately wish I hadn’t.

I’m blown away by the hostility in some young people, I’m assuming they’re young because it doesn’t happen on here, so much pent up anger. Lot’s of them could do with venting it on a hobby…like lifting for instance.

And who joins a lifting site and posts all their comments in GAL? talking about every subject under the sun that ISN’T ABOUT lifting? Bizarre.

BTW You look like you’re sulking in your new avi, like your wife’s just told you you can’t get those new knee wraps.

I feel my AVI makes me look sexy…

Meet peaking cycle begins in 4 days.

Warm up: Pvc pipe rolls
Light stretching

Squat: 2 x 10 x bar
2 x 5 x 135
185 x 3
245 x 5
285 x 4
330 x 3
370 x 2
390 x 1
410 x 1
430 x 1

Block pulls: worked up to 430

Deads: 5 x 3 x 315

Elevated stiff led dead lifts: 230 x 10

Standing Band crunches : 5 x 10

Well in reality it should have been a easy session since at this point im working at a lower weight % based on my projected maxes. With being off for a few weeks to get over a bug along with allowing myself to get mentally charged again to move some weight. Add in I haven’t pulled for awhile since I focused on squats and doing so twice a week. This session got a little rough during pulls more so then I expected due mostly because my form was feeling off.

Warm up: Light band movements

Bench: 2 x 20 x bar
95 x 10
2 x 5 x 135
205 x 5
235 x 4
275 x 3
305 x 2
325 x 1… didn’t feel wright lowering it , but went up easy
285 x 8 x 8 x 5… petered out on last set
245 x 10 x 5…Triceps asked “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING” on the last set

Pendlay rows: 5 x 10 X some weight…done super strict
Arm curl: Who cares

OK ,I haven’t official started my peaking cycle on the Bench. Trying something different right now. For the next 4 weeks I am going to do some “Base Building” then jump into a short 5 week peaking cycle.
