I’m liking the volume, dogg. To be honest, doing multiple sets at these higher rep range will by itself give you some of the conditioning you are looking for. Busting out heavy singles at the rate of one every ten minutes does wonders for your strength but not much for getting the heart going.
And I do bicep curls to intensify the sexiness.

Well im not looking at it in a conditioning scene. I prefer to leave thing like sprints ,jumping rope and pushing or dragging things to cover the conditioning aspect. I will say the extra volume should prepare me for when I start creeping into the heavier weight .For one it should improve my work capacity second it should add a small amount of hypertrophy plus its giving my joints a break from the heavy stuff.
Warm up: pvc pipe
band GM’s/ standing ab crunches super set 3 x 10
light stretching
Squat: bar x 10
135 x 5
225 x 5
280 x 3
315 x 3
340 x 8,8,14 ...added belt on last set, for some reason almost blew chow on last set
Step ups: 3 x 8 x some really light weight
GM’s: 3 x 8 x 190
Side bends: 3 x 8 x 85
standing band crunches: 5 x 10
For some reason my right knee was bothering me at work today. Didn’t have much of effect on my squatting tonight. Playing it safe and icing it as I type.
I’m at the point im about ready to put a gun in my mouth .UGH, been working with my youngest on a Science project for school dealing with computer animation. The deadline is soon approaching and there a crap load still needed to be done. The youngest and myself have been bumping heads over it. Lets just say the arguments we have been having have been one for the books.
Well im off work until next Tuesday. Used up 32 hours of vacation I had of 56 remaining hours. The rest will be cashed out . The kicker is that the remaining hours will be taxed at a gift tax rate of almost 40%. Talk about taking it up the old wazoo.
At any rate im probably going to meet the wife for lunch then go hit the garage after words. Looks like this week the weather is going to stay somewhat on the mild side so that will give me a reprieve from having to go to the local YMCA.
On another note I pitch the idea to my wife of purchasing a decent tread mill.
Just catching up. Seems like things are going well for you. How’s the weight loss going?
I bought a Smooth Fitness treadmill last year, very nice, big motor and extra long walking/running surface. It was a bit pricey ($1400) but got great reviews and was liken’ed to commercial quality. It also holds more laundry than any other treadmill I’ve ever owned! Been kind of lazy of late with it.
Well Dday I haven’t made any major steps toward actually losing weight. In all reality its a after thought. I just want to add some conditioning work into equation along with cleaning up the diet a little. Which in turn will drop my body weight a little. I’m trying not to fall into the trap of trying to serve two different masters as it was.
I’m not planing on going too high dollar on the treadmill I’m planning to purchase. I’m looking on line at this point trying to find some close out prices. Wanting to try and stay around $500 right now.
140 x 3
155 x 3
170 x 8,8,12...left a few on last set
CG 2 board press: 315 x 3…Well I was going to work to a heavy triple. 315 felt light so I went up to 365. The 365 felt like a ton ,it plastered itself on my chest.
I cut it short after the CG bench. I just couldnt get into it mentally at all today.Nothing was clicking at all physical everything was fine but I just couldnt seem to get myself up for the session today.

I had a similar issue for awhile. Then my wife told me a story:
“When I did homework with my dad it was either his way or the highway. So I never asked him for help with homework.”
That story completely changed how I approach the whole thing.
Sometimes I wonder what teachers are thinking when they assign these projects, they do realize that the parents are going to aid in it a great deal, in some houses parents end up doing it for the kid! Its almost like the parents are still in school.

You’re gonna have a hard if not impossible time finding something decent for $500. I got my wife a Vision T9200 a few years ago and it has held up well. feels like a commercial unit and got very good reviews in Consumers.

I agree with you. Right now im willing to go into the $600’s. Im not really looking for anything at this point that is of commercial grade .

Totally understand. I’m sure you will but check craigslist.org especially around February when everyone gives up their resolutions.

Well I just found out my little genius(I say this with a bit of sarcasm) was wrong on the actual due date for the project. Instead of needing to be completed on the Dec 20th its not due until Jan 4th. A whole weekend of stress for nothing.

Enjoy the time off bro![/quote]
Tell me about it.This is the 3rd year of having to do these projects. Each year it seems that the wife and myself play a role in there completion.

Glad to see you’re enjoying (or at least getting used to Juggernaut). I’m in the 3s now but plan on running at least another cycle with it.
What you described is exactly why I don’t cash in my vaca days.
