Bulldog and Bullpup Log Part 2

Brett is definitely back.

You look wonderful at that age. When I was 17, I was pounded by suicidal thoughts. Always wondered what it felt like to be happy.

I, too, had a FANTASTIC mullet. It was a thing a beauty. But I could never get my moustache to connect with my beard, so you were cooler. Throw in acid wash jeans and we could have been a country band. Add eyeliner and we’d be metal.

Haha…that’s awesome. I think I intentionally destroyed every pic of me from when I was that age. Well, I think I’ve got a boot camp pic…

Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Onto the 8’s right? Or are you onto 5’s?

james

ROFLMFAO!!!

I only knew of mullet as fish before I even knew it was a hairstyle. Wonder what that says about me…

Thanks, that was one of my Sr. pictures I dug up the other day.

I’d have been happy to have had that much hair on my balls at that age!

It’s so unfair that some people seem to get more than their fair share of testosterone.

BTW Sorry for bringing up the hirsuteness of my balls in your log…or just my balls for that matter.[/quote]

Actually, I started shaving when I was 14…

No worries about your balls, I don’t know what its like to have a pair since my wife keeps mine in her possession and have to ask for them .

Ah, yes, you do look really relaxed.

So do you think Bullpup will follow in your footsteps?

Well looks like in a little while ill have to evacuate the garage due to dropping temperatures and head to the local YMCA. Its not something im looking forward too. Unfortunately my choices are limited.

Well there are a few positives about going there.

  1. I can get a spot and lift off on the bench.

  2. A good set of dumbbells up to 125’s

  3. HEAT!!! The main reason im going.

The down side.

  1. Flooring: The whole area of course is rubber flooring. Unfortunately there is slippery. So staying tight on the bench is a problem. Along with the fact that it gets kinda of scary squatting with heavy weight. Can anyone say foot slipping and knee injury?

  2. Equipment: The bars there are semi problematic. They have low end York bars. Which whips like no bodies business along with the fact I think they use wd40 to keep the bars nice and shinny. One of which im responsible for bending while doing heavy rack pulls.

  3. Environment: I find that when I go there I subconsciously rein myself in. Along with not being able to focus very well there. I just find I feel more comfortable in my garage with the Metal playing and the chalk flying.

  4. BRO TARDS: I don’t really need to go into detail. As much as they are entertaining they tend to get on my nerves after awhile…

  5. The Mega Bitch: Lets just say there is a trainer there whom I cant stand. To make matters worse she is in charge of the fitness area. Which sadly includes the free weight area. The bitch ( My apologise to any ladies reading this.) knows jack and shit about free weights or programming what so ever. She is the embodiment of Bosu ball training. On top of that she has a arrogant demeanor which I find distasteful. Lets just say me and her bumped heads once last winter.

Oh Hell yeah, good times! Needless to say I’m hoping for a mild winter this year. As long as the temperature doesn’t drop much below 40 degrees im going to try and stay in the gerage.

You know the drill. Put your headphones on. Put your hood up. Train. I hear ya on sub-optimal environments though but sometimes you just gotta do it.

Funny about bending the bar though. How much weight did you have on it?

james

U and the wife know a few people at the high school and ur oldest is the next big wrestling stud. U should ask to use there facility. There are tons of people who use it. U never know if u don’t ask. I start 3p to 11p shift so I’ll be going to the gym in the morning or I would just take u with me. Maybe offer that head coach guy u know some of that knowledge u know

The good thing is I put out such a not all there vibe that I don’t normally have to deal with people to much of a extent.

I was doing rack pulls at knee level and worked up to a single with 700. After I unloaded the bar I notice it had a slightly new bow to it. I guess they figured they didnt need good bars.

It might be worth a try. Unfortunately what knowledge I might have probably isn’t wanted or appreciated.
