I’m really looking forward to hearing about the meet. Deloads are tough to go through aren’t they? You feel like you should be doing something more than you are and it’s hard to wrap your head around going light and not leaving the session totally wiped.
How was the show? You definitely should get a LOT of points for doing that. I mean that’s a completely selfless act as I suspect you’ve not got a lot of interest in it.

I have to agree . Deloading like I have been doing has been forcing me to be disciplined and not do anything that would be stupid. Even thou during this I have had a few hiccups.
I would not call It a selfless act. It wasn’t like I was offering up my testicles or any thing like that besides my wife has those in her possession anyway. On a serious not the production was enjoyable. Most importantly the wife loved it. Now I cant say going to a Broadway play every weekend would be my idea of heaven.

Holy shit bulldog, you have a star in the making…I know your gonna hate this but he may just HAVE to get into bodybuilding!
Ill be honest that pic was from back a few months ago. Like I mentioned the little freak has put on 10 lbs and his BF% dropped. Last week he had his shirt off and threw a double bicep. GOOD GOD !!! Talk about a V tapper.
It sounds like the bullpup has so many options open to him. If he continues his wrestling, he could get up to any level he wants by college - maybe even the Olympics. Or turn to bodybuilding - he’s lean enough and builds muscle easy. Or take up powerlifting - he’s got your genetics. Heck, if he likes football enough, just bulk up some more and make the college scouts stand in line with offers.
Things are happening to the kid that just don’t happen to regular kids. does he understand how convenient it is to build muscle without even touching a barbell? Does he think any kid can accomplish the same thing if they just work hard enough?

In all reality for him the best route for him for a opportunity at any type of sports scholarship will be wrestling. He just isn’t going to have the height to be productive as a football player . Other then as a receiver or running back and at this point hes no where a stand out in those position compared to his wrestling abilities.

Well in all reality he does get some training stimuli by just participation in Football during the season his lower legs tend to balloon up. Ill be honest the little freak did inherit some good genes. He is definitely a true Mesomorph the lucky Little bastard.Of course hes only 13 right now ,lets see what happens in another few years. My guts telling me he might be one of those types whom can gain weight with minimal fat gain. Of course it has not hurt that we have kept him active and have not over loaded his diet with garbage. That reminds me…kinda funny he got a new nickname this year. A few of his coaches have been calling him “Shoulders” because at only 125 lbs he has to wear Shoulder pads designated for kids whom weight 150-180 lbs. His shoulder to waist ratio is getting pretty sick. To answer your question I don’t know what he thinks in regards to his current ability to put on lean mass. I think in some ways its starting to annoy him because the past two years hes had to move up two weight classes every year. On the other hand hes liking that his appearance gets him attention from his friends and the little ladies.
Yep, the pup has stud written all over him. He’s lucky to have such a good coach and genes don’t hurt either.
Best of luck with your meet next week, go smash some PR’s.

Like Ive said before Ill take all the luck I can get. I’m feeling pretty good right now and im thinking Ill hit two Meet Pr’s.

Have you chosen your attempts for your meet yet?
I knew what he meant…I was just meaning that hopefully for the foreseeable future he will be a stud in sports and not with the ladies.
I have had my attempts pretty much mapped out weeks ago. Just didnt want to jinx myself and state them.
Well, time is flying by. Two more days Ill have to put up or shut up along with putting on the singlet …SEXY. I don’t know what it is but my whole mind set is just different this go around. I dont want to say im feeling ho hum. This might be a good thing. As long im hitting on all cylinders mentally come go time. Right now my body is felling pretty good , as it stands no aches and pains. Along with the fact im not worried about making wight this time around.
Unless the deloading approach I used blows up in my face I’m pretty confident that Ill hit Meet PR’s in the squat and bench. Deadlift will end up being ho hum and nothing special. But again I knew that going in since I allowed myself to slack on them. Of course going into this one I just decided to lighten up and not be so uptight with it and have some fun. I’m actually more geared up about getting back into regular training after I get a general idea where I stand and gearing up for another Meet in maybe four months.
