I am new to bulking and cutting (been lifting for a long time but never knew any better about diet and I am about to try my first bulking session. I was wondering if anyone is bulking w/out massive eating protocol? It seems like no one is mixing fat and carbs and I was wondering if there were people doing it this way what kind of results are they having and are they gaining a lot of fat? Any tips on minimizing this would be great. As of right now I had been on a maintanance (spelling?) diet and was even afraid to mix them on that. Is it neccessary to not mix when I just want to maintain? I have read all the t-mag articles and loved them and find them to be great stepping stones to build a plan but now I was just looking for some individual tips and experiences. Thanks everyone (Hope my post makes sense I just re-read it and I am not sure of the clarity, I kinda rambled)
Well, When I was bulking the first thing I did was drop my eating intervals back from every 3 hours to every 2 hours. Its hard but It can be done. Don’t forget to you MRP’s and definitley don’t forget about beef. Beef will keep your calories high is this stage of your diet. And stick to the compund movements int he gym. Thats my advice.
Dude, 99.999999999999999999% of all the successful bulking that’s ever been done in the history of the world was done without the Massive Eating protcol. Massive Eating is just a refinement of the whole deal. Even Berardi would no doubt concur that the most important thing by far is to eat tons (including sufficient protein) and train hard. The rest is just details.
Massive Eating works much better for me than any other bulking diet. I tried Pound-O-Week and eggs, milk, beef diets. Chanko worked fair. Massive Eating has worked the best by far, gained 30 pounds in 3 months.
I don’t follow massive eating. I eat a ton of food and don’t really care about if I’m mixing fats and carbs as long as I am getting enough calories and protein. I have been eating like this for about seven months. I started at about 180, now I’m about 230. I can still kinda seem my abs. I could diet enough fat off in about three weeks to see all my abs. This type of eating is much more fun and easy to follow. If you gain fat quickly you shouldn’t eat like this or you’ll be a fat ass in no time.
I realise that 99.99999999% was done w/out MEproto but I was just wondering how much more fat I should expect to gain w/out it?
