Bulking up Foods

I don’t know if I’m bulking up the right way, but let me tell you guys what I’m eating now to help bulk up.

Morning 8:00am: 7-8 eggs (2 yolks, 6 whites)
2 pieces of whole wheat bread with a dash of real butter (for flavor), and occasionally oatmeal. 1 glass of milk, 1 omega-3 fatty pill, 1 centrum vitamin –

11:00: 1 Methoxy Pro Bar (30g protein, 260g calories, 7/4 Fat/Satur) 5 grams of glutamine

12:30: 1 footlong sub from subway (chicken breast on wheat, dash of mayo, lettuce, tomato)

3:00: 1 40g protein shake

Preworkout: 5 gram glutamine+30gram protein shake

6:00: workout (1- 1 1/2 hrs)

Postworkout: 40g protein shake + 2 1/2 - 3 gram glutamine.

7:30-8:00: 1 skinless chicken breast, cottage chesse.

Now at dinner I will change the chicken breast up with a tuna sandwich, or occasionally fish.

And I drink around 1/2 gallon of water during workouts and another gallon throughout the day.

My workout consists of 4 days a week of: Chest/Tris Monday – Back/Bis Tues – Rest Wed – Legs/Calves Thurs – Rest Friday – Shoulders/traps/abs Sat – Rest Sunday.

Age: 20
Weight: 175

I’m personally getting sick of eatting tuna, and chick every day, but I know they are good high protein meals and I don’t want to give up. Anyone have suggestions that are easy to make since I’ll be going off to college again this fall, and will need easy to make meals.

Thanks in advance!

Not enough food. For one of my ‘balls out’ bulking cycles I will eat this: meal 1 - 4 eggs, 16 oz skim milk, 1/2 cup oatmeal, fruit. meal 2 - 5 hamburger patties. meal 3 - can of tuna, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 16 oz skim milk. (Workout + surge) meal 4 - pint of plain yogurt. meal 5 - Chicken breast + tbsp flax oil. meal 6 - half a big container of cottage cheese + tbsp olive oil. For snacks throughout the day i might have a spoonful of all natural peanut butter or a peice of whole wheat bread for good carbs. Get a george forman grill for college. Afridge will help also.

I’m pretty sure your getting enough protein. I think you need more calories in general though. The protein really fills you up so you might want to switch over that chicken breat at night for some pork or beef. Add in another P+C meal earlier in the day might also help you since I always needed some cards early in the day to jump start my energy and appetite.

Don’t be afraid to eat. You’ve adopted a “low fat diet” approach based on what you have listed. Eat the whole eggs, not just egg whites. Eat more beef, peanut butter and nuts. You need more variety in food sources and more calories. Don’t forget the veggies and fruits too!

i agree completley with nate dogg, shit can the whites and eat whole eggs. forget the skinless chicken breats and get yourself some flank steak. when you are trying to add size do not be afraid of adding a little fat. it goes with the territory. adding a light amount of cardio each week will help keep your bf% under control. not only do you need a lot of protein but you need a lot of calories. given your age and weight i would say somewhere in the 4,000 calorie/day area.
