Bulking Up: Best Supplements

I’d suggest at least 150+ grams protein intake a day, 300+ in carbs. Basic formula, don’t sweat the supplements too much focus on your diet and training routine. However Whey Protein and some old school creatine would help your gains once the nutrition and training pieces are there. Try adding some dextrose to your post workout protein shake as well. You have to do what it takes to gain  Good thing i love eating

I’m dieting down for boxing, and if I’m still losing weight at about 2000 NET calories per day.

I’d suggest eating more frequently than 3 times per day. I find that the easiest way to gain weight is to try to eat SOMETHING every 2 - 3 hours. Buy some peanuts and peanut butter. They are 1) portable 2) cheap 3) calorically dense and EASY to eat.

P90X also burns a lot of calories, so if you were intaking 2000 - 2200 cals per day, your net is probably more like 1500 - 1700. The more you burn, the more you need to eat. Gaining weight is about running a NET calorie SURPLUS.

Good luck OP!

at 5’5" 125, youre quite small, im no expert but i would say you would want to eat between 3000 and 3500 calories a day, basically eat a small meal every 2 or 3 hours for around 7 meals a day and as mentioned before do a solid bodybuilding split. with respect to eating everything in sight, try and keep most of your calories gained from healthy sources more than junk food. eat lots of healhy food, get lots of sleep and lift hard and heavy and you should see the results coming soon. as far as supplememts go i would say just a whey protein for first thing in morning, before and after a workout, and a casein protein for post workout and before bed along with multivitiamin and fish oil if you want.

Is this thread real?
Like srsly… gaizz…

How bout’ you post up a typical training day’s diet?
Doesn’t even have to be exact, give us a rough outline of how and what you eat every day and we’ll go from there.

That explains it, p90x is for fat loss and conditioning, not muscle mass[/quote]
UNBELIEVABLE

Stop drinking water/sodas, switch to milk/chocolate milk.
Pour olive oil on anything it makes any sense at all to do so.
Add nuts. They’re very calorie dense.
Switch to a starting-strength style program.
And do post what you actually eat…

This isn’t Nam, there are rules!

If you would have posted all ^this^ in the OP I would never have even read this thread.
You need a lot of help and out of all these posts I think MAF14 and Ryan seem to be leading you down the right path so stick with them.

Also, do research and captain your own destiny. Advice is great to get you started but you will want to spend time reading threads and books on the subject if you are starting from scratch/P90X.
