Pretty much how I get in all my calories.
No way In hell I’m gonna add another 100+ punds to my sq/dl this year like I did last year by eating fish and rice cakes.
I love bratwurst. The only problem is you dont see alot of it down here. We have some friends in scheboygan so we keep it around. But we make up for it in boudin, jambalyaya, and cajun sausage.

Damn…yet when I say I eat a hamburger all hell breaks loose.
LOL, hamburgers are great. But i never tried eating cookies or drinking cream to gain weight. Have you seriously done this? (honest question).
I just dig into roast pork, lamb, mashed potatoes, and the other type of food my mum always used to cook for me. I guess if i had an issue with weight gain i would start adding cream(i did consider it and then i found i didn’t need it).
I don’t have a problem stuffing myself full of food regularly…but elite BB’s and powerlifters make me look like bambi!
But then again i guess if your aim is to weigh 260+lbs then my diet is useless!! I’m only 230lbs at 18% BF.

My motto has always been “no pure crap”. Everything else is fair game. I don’t eat cookies but have been known to down wings by the bucket full. I don’t eat cake but can toss down a quadruple whopper (yes, you can ask for one of those) in short time. I eat big but I don’t eat stupid.
I do agree with him, however, that it takes some serious bulking up if your goal is to truly stand out as one of the few who can get really big. That isn’t going to happen by obsessing about abs from day one if you started this skinny.

This definitely seems to be the most intelligent route. It’s hard to justify something like cake on a bodybuilding diet, but pounds of wings are fair game.
i put condensed milk into my protein shakes (which i make with whole milk) for a 150cal boost, and put powdered milk on my cereal.
i’m munching on nuts, put olive oil on everything, and eat bacon by the pound.
i do “cheat” with doritos now and again, but hardly a day goes by i dont devour a microwave popcorn bag haha. way i see it, my 17%BF is proof I’m bulking well!

Oh no! But the beef of a hamburger isn’t that lean and contains too much fat and the bun is empty calories that will spike my insulin levels! I also can’t eat cheese, because that has too much fat in it!
Men’s Health told me to stay between 2500-3000 calories on a bulk, eat only “clean” food, and do their “Summer Abs in 6 weeks program” and their “3 cool new ways to squat” program. I’ve been doing those but had only gained 3 pounds in two months!
Also, I got sick afterwards and after a week, those three pounds were lost and even more! Help me! How can I get big and strong and ripped at the same time within 3 months?
to be honest, i probably get atleast 2000 calories a day from cookies, cakes, chocolate etc…2000ish from fatty meats (ie ground beef with a bunch of oil poured in etc), and then after that its pretty healthy for the rest of my calories for the day…
probably not the best thing, especially long term, but so far, its the easiest, most consistant way for me to ensure that i’m getting stronger and gaining weight
I just wanted to gain weight. He then proceeded to give me my plan.
BREAKFAST
Three sandwiches from McDonalds, with one pack of mayo and one hash brown smashed inside each one.
LUNCH
As much Chinese food as I could eat as long as I was sweating at the end - oh, and ask for extra MSG.
DINNER
One large Pizza with everything I liked on it. I was to put the pie on the coffee table and then poor olive oil and salt all over it and begin eating as fast as I could, trying to eat the entire pie before 20 minutes elapsed.
(I guess it takes that long for you mind to be signaled that you?re full). If I couldn?t finish it, I was to leave the pie on the table and realize that it was THAT pie that was keeping me from my goals.
I was told it was a personal battle between me and the pie, and I had to understand that if I didn?t eat it ALL, it was just as bad as missing a PR on the bench. In fact, he told me it would be the reason why I DID miss the PR in the first place.
SNACKS
Two Hershey bars every 1 to 1.5 hours. I was to have these with me at ALL times and there was never a reason to NOT eat them. They take no time, and if I could excuse myself at work to take a piss I could easily eat two bars in the time it takes to use the restroom.
If I was full or didn?t want to chew, I was to break it in pieces and toss it in my mouth. "It will melt down,? he said.
That’s good, for me i’m more concerned with not getting diabetes from eating crappy foods. I mean they virtually put sugar and salt in every canned or packaged food these days. Not to mention the tons of fake ingredients.
TBH i’ll be contented to be 220lbs at 6" with low single digit BF. I know that is way below your kind of goals though!
And yes i have tried those ridiculous quadruple burgers when i’m in Toronto for the summer…they are SO filling. I was eating one and my cousins looking at me with disbelief hahahah (they are way too fatty and must be eaten in moderation-i’m being serious).
I’m always amazed how cheap they are, its $5 versus £4.50 for a triple whopper from BurgerKing…wtf?
(bear in mind its usually $2 to £1)
as bad as it probably is long term, thats basically been my method that Brant_Drake just posted, and suprise suprise, this year i’m finally growing and getting stronger…hopefully no diabetes though
I’m still in the double quarter pounder category, when it stops filling me up I’ll move up the tiers of giant quick calorie burgers. Damn you heavyweights.
At home it’s all about that pasta with a really meaty/chunky sauce, I could(should? =p) eat that all day, can’t take the Italian out of a family.
Brian you should get a blood test(to see Lipid(fat)/hormone levels are good) just in case.
I only do it once a year. I really cleaned my diet up since a year a go, wooo it was pretty shitty. But i still had a V.good Lipid/Hormone profile at that time.
Probably because i’m still in my early 20s and can get away with that kind of shit at this time.
Red04 you need to force them burgers down, then hit the couch and watch some tv until your gut conquers the monster you have sent its way.
certain foods that are usually classified as “dirty” really aren’t when you think about it…
wings for example. If you get the super hot kind, not the sweet kind, theres usually 0 sugar used in the sauce, so all it is is Fat & Protein. nothing wrong with that. i down about a kg of wings a week and dont feel bad about it at all.
hamburgers by the way, are fuckin awesome.
also i feel the need to add that for anyone with appetite problems that are truly holding back their gains… smoke some weed after training and make sure you’ve got nothing but good bodybuilding food in your place.
you’ll be too stoned to want to go anywhere to get food so you’ll just eat all the awesome anabolic foods in your home and you’ll get HYOOOGE… yahhhhhhhh it works.

Plus, foods like wings and burgers are delicious and fun to eat. I just don’t see the point of denying yourself eating foods like that unless you are dieting for a show or photo shoot and how many people here can truly claim that?

I try not to eat cookies and shit, but if it actually will help me grow I’ll eat it. Last summer during coan-phillipi I took my 4000kcal a day diet and added a whole frozen pizza too it putting me in the 5500 range. I grew and added like 40 pounds to my deadlift in a few weeks.

I agree with this, so many things people will tell you are bad aren’t when you look at what is in them.
I would also agree with the no “pure crap” statement.
I have a pretty poor appetite so if it doesn’t have protien, fibre, good fats, or stacks of vitamins and minerals in it, its taking up valuable realestate in my stomach that could be used for food that is going to help me build muscle
Sadly that means I dont eat much potato chips anymore, which was a favorite snack. I now eat nuts mostly when I feel like chips.
I’m going to eat almonds right now.
