Anyways I have been using Fitday for a while now so I got a better handle on my macro breakdown. When I first used it I was surprised at how much fat and carbs I was consuming. Afterwards was much better able to hit my goal macros whether I weighed everything or didn’t.

For you guys who prep meals in advanced how do yo do it? Preparing meals every day is time consuming.
Cook in Bulk 1 or 2 days a week then package them as individual meals
This…break out the slow cooker, rice cooker, and Clean and prep all your veggies etc. When you get it all going at once only takes an hour tops(except for the slow cooker)of course.Your set for days.

So you would argue being fatter does not help leverage? Shorten stroke length? Ect? If so then it seems there are no benefits for plers to get fat
If they gain more leverage then more weight would be used…so saying less work is done without taking the increased weight used into the equation makes the statement incorrect.

If more weight can be moved, you can not claim less work is being done.
But if stroke length decreas and weight increases seems like they negate. Since work is distance x force
It’s not even that simple. From a physiological perspective, not all “work” has the same effect on the muscle. Much more break down at extremes of ROM (full stretch on presses for example…that extra stretch you get where you are weakest.) Being overweight cuts that part out.
Please provide some definitive evidence to back that statement up.
That it’s more difficult to move weight at rock bottom of a squat than at the top? Or rock bottom of a bench press than at the top?
The bit about being overweight cutting out the bottom part of a bench press. Unless you are super obese but even then I’m doubtful.

As for all work not having the same effect on a muscle, well yes that’s true but its also the reason why different exercises are used to target different parts of a muscle, and I’m not sure how that’s relevant to your point.

This I like.

When you are holding 300lb, centimeters and even milometers difference in your thickness to reduce ROM make a difference. Hell, even losing a bunch of fat off your ass will affect leveraging off of the bench.

I don’t have “evidence,” just my personal experience and anecdotal evidence from PLing colleagues who have changed weight classes.

It’s relevant to my point, which was that it’s not as simple as work = force x distance. Moving 300lbs 2 inches at bottom of ROM is NOT equivalent to locking out the last 2 inches as far as your body is concerned. Does that make better sense now? Basically, not all work is created equal from a physiological perspective.

Yea and yes.
Prep everything 2 nights a week (3 if you need to)
A slow cooker works well, I prefer to grill or bake my meats in the oven.
A also picked up a rice cooker that will allow you to steam veggies while you cook your rice.
It’s perfect!

Prep it all, package em up in little containers and you’re good for 3-4 days with shakes whenever.
It’s pretty easy once you get a system.

To add to this. I just started roasting my veggies in the oven while I’m also baking my chicken. I’ve never made veggies like this before, I’m liking it more than steaming (taste wise). I drizzle a little olive oil and I slice up or mince fresh garlic. Salt, pepper and mix it all up with the veggies. Knock em both out in one shot.

I like the baking chicken and veggies idea just need to get the containers.

Elusive I started doing this as well pretty recent and your right on about the taste being better.I usually get a whole pan of veggies going with another with potatos as well.Lot more tasty than steaming.

@Smashingweights Your so right about the rice cooker,I love that thing.I can’t cook rice (old school style) in a pot cause I burn the shit out of it every time. And It’s crazy how cheap rice cookers are.

Burn the bottom or the water bubbles over and makes a huge mess on the stove lol
The rice cooker is amazing.
Set it and forget it.
The thing turns itself off when it’s done!
How awesome is that? Ha ha

you rice cooker boys sure are lazy!

put some rice in a pot, add some boiling water, cover, simmer for 12 mins, drain, eat.

easy!

Yeah right with a rice cooker I can fill it up to shower shop what ever and come back and not only is it done but it sets itself to keep warm. No need to ever touch it. Makes my life more efficient

I guess that’s fair enough, when I make rice though I’m always at the hob cooking up something to have with it

Which is implied when one says ‘force’ to begin with, unless we need to go even more fundamental with our physics here, which then paradoxically begs the question of why we are delving so far into a physics statement that is conceptually true: reducing distance a force must be applied reduces work required, which in a lifting scenario allows more ‘force’(weight of bar) to be introduced to make the work equal again.

And sorry but acceleration doesn’t affect work. Acceleration affects power which measures work done in an amount of time

Not to get involved in this argument, because its going no where… but mass x acceleration = force. Force x distance = work.

True story, and work/time= power
